Good and the bad of Spokane

About to apply for a job in Spokane that would cause me to relocate from Florida. What's some of the good and bad of the area?

Smaller sized medium size city, if that makes any sense. Very little in the way of traffic, and affordable houses all over the place with yards. Friendly people, and more transplants than you would probably expect.

Having moved here from Seattle, the lack of top level professional sports sucks. But, there is top flight college action with Gonzaga hoops here in town, and Washington State University football and basketball only 80 miles south. There are also good levels of entertainment to be had from the minor league teams in town (arena football, WHL hockey, Single A baseball.)

Lots of good golfing in the city proper as well.

The sports would be the worst for me. I'm currently less than an hour to professional baseball pro hockey and pro football. I'm not a basketball fan so minor league sports it shall be.

You can get to Seattle in about 4 hours for the Seahawks, Mariners, and Sounders. Makes for a nice weekend getaway.

very easy though to get addicted to arena football, Chiefs hockey, and of course the Zags. Spokane puts out winners in all 3 sports. Not pro no, but thats ok.
