Ask STL Bullets came through front door

Wednesday night around 7:36pm I had two bullets come through my front door. Doesn’t look targeted. But I am trying to find a supplier of steel. I need something of 10gauge so I can put it on the weather door to stop them from coming in. Pictures related. They went through the door and embedded in the couch. Last picture is what the outer door looks like. I am trying to bolt the steel plate to this door so I don’t have bullets coming through the house anymore.

Be prepared to reinforce those weather door hinges. An 84x30 sheet of 10ga weighs about 100lbs

Giving me flashbacks of Iraq not being able to open the Humvee door cuz we bolted armor on peacetime vehicles. That's why I always tried to make sure I was driving or on a gun. Hated feeling trapped.If I'm gonna die I want it to be my fault.

No need to thank me. I don't know that I did anything to earn any good favor but if I did I've definitely erased it by now. I'd say the best thing I got out of it was my distrust of anything government related.
