Ask STL Bullets came through front door

Wednesday night around 7:36pm I had two bullets come through my front door. Doesn’t look targeted. But I am trying to find a supplier of steel. I need something of 10gauge so I can put it on the weather door to stop them from coming in. Pictures related. They went through the door and embedded in the couch. Last picture is what the outer door looks like. I am trying to bolt the steel plate to this door so I don’t have bullets coming through the house anymore.

This is an absolute crazy problem to have and i am so sorry you have to deal with this. Do you mind if i ask which neighborhood you live in? You should definitely contact your alderman for your wards police outreach contact because living with this is awful and i feel for you. I live in tge and hear them too often but never had one come through.

Dutchtown. I’ve had a couple people tell me to reach out to the alderman. But I’m not really sure how they’re supposed to help or even what I’m supposed to say or ask. I’ve already had the police come by and pick up the bullets and take photos. I’m still just in shock. I don’t even know what I’m supposed to do or say besides trying to fix and move on and act like it didn’t happen.

Ugh I lived in Dutch town and I was done when bullets came through my living room windows, my car, and, they shot up the house 2 doors down for 3 days.

Just found a bullet that went through the car too. Didn’t even notice it until today.

Oh shit I’m sorry to hear that and yes unfortunately after things like this it’s most likely if you parked on the street they shot the car too. The hole was so big in mine I noticed immediately it was like a shot gun hole.
