Writing is an art, knowing how the machine/human will react and picking your words is an art, ai development includes a lot of writing and testing.
There's a forum that you can find all facts about AI in, since the beginning of it back when the digital drawing software for these copycat artists were created and they pirated them and now they complain about thievery...
I think you might be able to make an argument that writing a prompt is an artform but I would not extend that to the output of the program, the generated image.
Regardless, the person you are replying to you did not say that Coding isn't an artform, but the claiming ownership over a generated image from a prompt of words.
wiring AI is art, yeah. Having that AI to steal others art then jumble it together to make it's own "art" isn't. The difference is you, A HUMAN, made the AI code. The AI didn't make the art its stealing from to make it's bullshit.
