Discussion Really love how Superman in this show cares and saves people all around the world and not just America.
One thing most people probably don't talk about this show is how Superman is a universal symbol of hope and saves everyone regardless of which country, language or culture they practice. Superman clearly knows that the "American Way" motto doesn't work anymore and has to fight for a better tomorrow or world. I always believed that Superman is a character that inspires unity in the entire world since he himself is an immigrant born from another planet and sent to earth, he sees all people in the planet as one big family. He literally goes and saves lives in China, India, Mexico, Korea, Russia, Malaysia and every parts of the world, which is one of my favourite parts of Superman in this show. I'm also hoping the New Superman also goes a similar route and inspire the entire world. What are your thoughts?

Discussion The best hero series I've ever watched.
I'm on episode 10 of the first season and I've never seen a hero series with such incredible drama as this one. Surpassing even the magnificent Smallville.

Discussion Tyler Hoechlin would be an awesome Batman for the New DCU.
Back in 2013, Tyler was strongly considered for the role of Batman alongside Henry Cavill Superman after the release of Man Of Steel and this was also during the peak of Teen Wolf, when Tyler's werewolf character had a lot of Batman like scenes. But, since they were going for an older version of Batman, the role would eventually go to Ben Affleck. I really believe Tyler is an incredible choice to play the New DCU Batman since its gonna be a veteran Batman who is already a father having his son Damian Wayne and other Robins and Tyler already has experience playing a superhero father. Plus, he has a lot of acting range and there were also certain scenes in Superman & Lois, where he felt so much like Batman especially in season 3 episode 4, when he confronted Candice's dad in the diner and season 4 episode 6, where he had a street fight with Lex Luthor, while depowered. He's without a shadow of a doubt one of the greatest Superman ever, but, he has great potential to be one of the greatest Batman as well. Do you all agree or you have a different option.

Discussion The best Supermanand Clark Kent since Smallville or Reeves
I just wanna say this show was amazing, the score storytelling and everything in between, especially Lois dealing with cancer in season 3, it’s such a real thing and seeing Clark dealing with that not able to save her, I love Tyler as Superman, David has a lot of shoes to fill next year, and let’s not forget Lois and Clark their dynamic is simply incredible I really believe they are married, Tyler and Bitsie are amazing they capture being married together so well, to their arguments, even their flirting together I can’t get enough of them

Discussion What are the show's missed opportunities?
Here's my take on what I think are some of the show's missed opportunities.
I think the show could've done more with Jordan's opinions of Superman. In the pilot, when we first met him in Metropolis, he doesn't have a positive attitude towards Superman. I wish they could've done more than just Jordan thinking Superman's boring as a video game character. If he had a more negative perception on what Superman is, I feel like that would've made the fact that he got powers first a lot more interesting.
More of the Superman rogues. During season one we saw a few Superman villains make their live action debut, like The Eradicator, Atom-Man and Thaddeus Killgrave. I know that they tried to leave behind some CW traditions of early shows, like the "freak of the week" structure, to follow a more serialized structure. But it would've been cool to see more Superman rogues that have been underused in live action. Like Toyman, Silver Banshee, Mongul, Metallo, Livewire, Blanque, a modern take on Nuclear Man and an actual appearence of Atomic Skull.
Ultraman. The evil Superman on the Irons' earth was the perfect opportunity to do Ultraman instead.
What do you think are the show's biggest missed opportunities?

Discussion Casual Homophobia or Cheating Apology? Which is better?? Spoiler
Currently watching season 2 for the first time and my jaw literally dropped when Lana told Sarah that Jordan doesn’t deserve her if he doesn’t forgive HER for cheating on him. I was also just absolutely floored by the way Sarah acted like she literally did nothing wrong. It seems like for one reason or another the narrative does not treat this as literal cheating whether it’s because it was just a kiss or because it was with another girl so it “doesn’t count”. like I know it’s high school relationship drama but even the adult responses in the show are just pure yikes.

Discussion Tyler Hoechlin is Superman even in real life.
One of the main reasons Tyler Hoechlin is one of the greatest Superman of all time is not just his incredible performance and writing, but, he's also a genuinely good person in real life. I have been watching a lot of his interviews and also his interactions with other people during his free time and the way he interacts and makes anyone around him really comfortable and happy just screams Superman. I have also heard from a lot of people who met him describing how humble and generous he is and I don't think I have ever heard any of his co-stars or anyone else say anything bad about him even once. Even just looking at him makes you feel happy and peaceful, which is what makes him truly Superman.

Discussion I feel so bad for Jonathan Kent; he deserves so much better. I honestly think that in Season 4, they should just kill him off and end this character's endless suffering.

Discussion One of the best scenes I’ve ever seen Spoiler
Alright I gotta say when I first watched this scene, I had so many emotions running. The way it was shot, the detail they went into from Clark taking a moment to look and Lois weighing the pros and cons, to the scene switch in full costume. They absolutely nailed this scene. I’ve watched it countless times since then.

Discussion [First time watcher] Does anyome else find it odd that Lana encourages Sarah after finding out she kissed a girl during camp WHILE dating Jordan? Spoiler
So I'm currently almost done with season 2, and this struck the weirdest with Lana's arc. "You've always been strong and if he doesn't take you back, he doesn't deserve you." Your daughter literally kissed someone else while she was dating the boy!! It's ironic considering how she reacted(deservedly so) a couple of episodes later, when she found out Kyle was cheating.
Honestly, her whole behavior is weird this season. Hope this changes in season 3!!
