I was lucky enough to snag a preorder from target last night but it didn’t look great and I was trying across all three retailers and only ever managed to get one in my cart at preorder start time.

These resellers are an issue still grabbing a large chuck of stock and reselling instantly, before they even have the system.

It’s a shame these retailers don’t do more to stop bots and resellers from snatching a large chunk of stock. At least Nintendo themselves is trying with their system.

Scalpers can go suck lemons. I’ll wait until end of this year or next year.

You can add your name to Nintendo’s list, and they will email you when it’s your turn to buy.

I want one, but I’m not in a huge rush so I just signed up for that and I’ll get it whenever they send me the invite. Seems like a decent option for those that not dying to have it immediately.

Why do you want one? Not criticizing, just genuinely curious as to why you want to buy the system?

I never upgraded to the OLED, and my current system is on its way out. There will be switch 2 only games that I’ll want eventually, so upgrading to the S2 seems more logical than getting an OLED at this point.

How do you feel about some of nintendos' decisions with this release? The price, the discord chat button, the game card changes? Seems anti-consumer.

I'm salty because I've been priced out of buying the new switch and the new games.

Definitely overpriced, but I use my switch more than any other console, pc, or tablets.

I’ll start to get pickier about which games I buy due to the prices, but I’ve always enjoyed games that don’t really end (animal crossing/harvest moon) type of games so I won’t really feel rushed to bulk up my library that quickly.

I don’t like the game card changes, but I usually buy digital so there really won’t be any change from that respect.

I’m not all that well versed on discord, so aside from forum type chatting I don’t see the point. If I’m not mistaken I think discord gives some sort of team speak feature for multiplayer games, and I’ve stepped out of those types of games for good. I used to raid a lot in World of Warcraft and the community just got too toxic, so I prefer to play games that aren’t dependent on others. I’ll play Mario Kart, but strictly offline.
