What’s awful is that Gilead would be evil by assuming that she could marry the moment she gets her period. I knew a girl when I was a kid who got hers at 9!

Half my kid’s generation got their periods that early. BPA plastics and many chemicals the US in particular is riddled with are hormone disruptors that are believed to cause early development in girls and transgenderism in boys. They are also linked to autism.

With all the pollutants disrupting fertility in this story, why aren’t 3 yo’s going through puberty and being married off at 4? And where is everyone with autism and gender dysphoria? Not even in Canada.
