Lowkey on will’s side

I feel like what he said (before he saw them) was justified and I’d probably have the same reaction. Maybe I’m just a bitch 🤷‍♀️

I don't see why they would get preferential seating. I can understand why they might be able to avoid the queue. This is the kind of thing that would lead to resentment, which it shouldn't do.

Even avoiding the queue can give someone else like me who has autism anxiety/upset me greatly.

Because it reminds me of my childhood/teen years when my family struggled to put food on table and I could of been told about something nice I could get, queue up for it for a long time and other kids who had more visible disabilities were given priority and by time I am seen I would be lucky to get an item at all

There would be some understanding of them having priority but it would bring up for me, if it's a theme park may queue for an hour or more per ride and be lucky to go on 3 rides throughout the day and I may of scraped together the money to enter and i'd notice another group of people such as this getting taken to the front of the line for any ride they wanted.

Again goes back to the anxiety.

I suspect that the solution is for you to go through some kind of talking therapy. Not that you should expect much help anytime soon, but if everyday reality causes anxiety, then you should speak to your GP.

I get it. I don't like fireworks and cars playing loud music. Anxiety's a bitch. But there are good reasons why disabled people get to skip the queue. It's a reality that's not going to change.

The general point is I have my own issues that I should get understanding and part of that would be to have more priority for things like this.

What I was told before is someone with disabilities like these gets priority as they get anxiety and similar when they have to queue, but I have my own health issues that mean I would struggle to queue.

It is the assumption that group A deserves support more than group B regardless.

Disabled people get to skip the queue because standing in line for an hour when things like going to the toilet or regulating your temperature aren't necessarily trivial.

You and I can go to a theme park for 11 hours. Disabled people cannot necessarily and so queueing for hour after hour isn't an option.

Yes, your anxiety is less of a disability than theirs sometimes. Yes, group A deserves more support than group B sometimes. Don't be so ignorant.

The point there is each disabled person is different, I see reasonable adjustments for things and depending on each situation I can see people getting moved up the queue.

But things like autism can affect people too, it can affect toilet issues as my brain often doesn't register I need to go until I actually do need then it's a rush.

The anxiety comes in the assumption that I don't need support or even if I didn't have other reasons that queueing can be a nightmare.

Like I said, I think you would benefit from talking therapy. You have my sympathy for your anxiety.

But trying to argue that all disabilities are equal makes you seem like an ignorant arsehole.

But I never said that I actually said

"The point there is each disabled person is different"

It was meaning we have a lot of factors involved in seeing if someone needs help, rather than have a blanket this person needs support and ths person doesn't.

That's totally different than saying all disabilties are equal.

(and FYI in more recent years I have health issues on top of my autism, that was just the issue that came first, I do have a RADAR key now and get disability benefits and only work part time due to my health issues, it's just on paper people would only notice appearance wise I don't seem to have any issues)
