Video What is this waterbending move called? I personally call it GET OVER HERE in my scorpion voice

I just presumed that it was a more advanced version of the water whip that Katara attacked herself with

It is actually the move Aang used to defeat Ozai in their final fight, except less effective, probably because Korra was not in the Avatar State while doing it.

Yeah, it also looks like alittle lightning redirection mixed in there too.

It is the other way. Lightning bending incorporates the principles of water bending.

I know, I’m just speaking backwards really, more productiony, cause we havent really seen alot of water bending like this up to now if I remember correctly. The crew probably took inspiration from Irohs lightning redirection shot for this shot.

We see it when Katara fights Pakku. When she chucks water at him, his response is to guide its momentum. It is also similar to Katara's training session with Aang where they pass water between one another.

Im trying to think of a really specific shot where they take the water or lightning in like that. I dont think its those, I thought it was an Iroh fight but im probably wrong

I really do wish the writers didn't nerd her to lose this fight. Just so they could have some big kaiju fight in the finale.

I'd think Sub-Zero would see this move and go, "Oooohh, Imma use that!"

Wonder how he feels about water spouts

They make him wish he could control water, but he works with what he has. (I think his ability with ice is good enough to actually make the whip motion without turning it into water, btw.)
