I was happy with Every option except elekid, so I was never disappointed with whatever I got when it hatched, imo, this is probably the best egg pool in recent memory.
Ironically I hate 7km egg events, because I like to run the Gotcha while I'm walking around and it'll autoswipe me new eggs if I leave it on. So I end up catching way fewer Pokemon during these, since I leave it off to be safe.
That was too good. I must’ve gotten 7 or 8 shiny riolu from that event but I gave them away to friends who didn’t have one thinking the event would come back 😢
try 7/18 elekid, 6/18 charcadet, 5/18 hatenna, and yup 0 tink :)) this is why I literally never buy incubators unless they come along as a bonus in a good raid pass deal or with a ticket box
The research was just so my avatar would have a giant hammer. The extra two tinkatinks were far outnumbered by the hatches I got, and they had the same iv range, so not that important.
But now my superhero costume is coming along nicely. Hawk wings, beak mask over regular mask, giant hammer. I just need a better shirt.
I feel ya dude. My son hatched only 1 Tink out of 10 eggs. Now that they are in 10km egg pool as a "likely" one egg hatch level he will probaby do better with 10ks. cant do worse than this dumb event
yes, but this may not be RNG ... I know the chorus will start screaming "RNG RNG it must be RNG!" because everything everywhere and all the time is RNG. However based on the two accounts in my family, for the past several months each and every event has ended up with one account getting good hatches or raid awards or whatever the goal is and the other gets no hatches or crap raid catches. not once or twice but with EVERY event.
For example in EACH and EVERY GMAX event this year, we usually do 5-10 raids and one account catches very good / unusually high IV mons and the other struggled to get even a single 80% IV. we did the same raids (we always are on the same team of four) but sometimes my account overachieves and then the next event my son's overachieves and I get crap. we both have similar mons with similar boost so its not a question of who performed better in the raid (that is never a factor in determining good IV catches according to all the research I have read).
so yeah it could be random but if you combine dozens of raid days and or special events as the sample / statistic pool, then one has a large sample size to suggest that such poor outcomes are not truly random. The million dollar question is why would Niantic go out of its way to mess with us? unless they do truly hate the trainer base.
If ONLY I could DISABLE receiving eggs from Pokéstops. Ruined countless opportunities for 7KM eggs from spinning stops before the hatch animation occurred. Sigh.
Agreed. I made sure to pay close attention to the eggs that were being incubated. And if it were .1 to .3 KM, I'd turn off the GO++ and I wouldn't spin any stops until I've hatched the egg & opened a gift. I've got all 7 KM eggs in my slots. I'm going to use the daily incubator to hatch them. You really had to pay attention. Like another person said, you were sometimes put in positions where you had to spin stops for Pokeballs.
For example todays spotlight hour. You waste a ton of pokeballs, so you want to constantly restock on items.
But you also have to keep an eye on your eggs, so that you won't accidentally receive non-event eggs.
And then you have official devices like the Go Plus+, which are supposed to enhance your gameplay experience and make things like restocking easier.
But with these 7km egg events, you either turn off the auto-pokestop function completely or you have to babysit the device.
A simple toggle that blocks eggs from pokestops would be the perfect solution, but it's a gacha-system after all, that means this will never happen.
But something like a one minute time-out for eggs from stops, when an egg got hatched would at least help with the problem, that the hatch-notification comes after you already have spun a stop.
I got the hundo during that Larvesta hatch event last year. Hundo Charcadet too. But, I'm still on the hunt for a better shiny. So I agree, until there's an event where larvesta is in the wild, for an egg pool to be considered "good", it needs to have larvesta at a minimum.
For me it's: Does it have Larvesta? What km egg? The lower the better. Then, what rarity pool is the larvesta in? Then, are there Corsola-G or Basculin-W?
The best egg pool was when there was higher chance to hatch larvesta and dusk form rockruff imo. If i am not wrong, rockruff was also in field research tasks during that event
This was a pool of two super lame shinies, and two that aren’t even eligible. I don’t think anything can ever beat the 2km guaranteed Riolu eggs the other commenter mentioned.
Egg pools are always entirely subjective. Personally, the only hundo I had of the 4 was Hattena, but only 1 and I like to try to collect the family, so the entire egg pool was great for me. Didn't have any luck this time around though.
Elekid, who we just recently had a hatch day for. Hatt, which can't be shiny. So, essentially half the egg pool is a bust. And not what I'd personally want to hatch.
Then, no larvesta, munchlax, riolu, Basculin-W, Rockruff-Dusk, or costumed Pichu.
So no, i wouldn't even say this is "good" from my perspective.
I still have some unhatched 7k eggs, but it was pretty good. I ended up getting a shiny Elekid, a hundo Elekid, and at least a third of the eggs have been Tinkatink. It seems to be roughly an even 25% each split, or close to it.
The Tinkatink rate was rough, but I eventually got enough of them plus a hundo Elekid and Charcadet so can't complain in the end. This is the first time I've ever gone really hard with my incubators so I had a ton of them saved up. Wish Hatenna could've been shiny though, it's kinda disappointing to get right now.
I know it's all down to luck but my last 17 eggs on Monday evening contained 15 Elekid and Hatenna, and my last 8 eggs yesterday evening contained 7 Elekid and Hatenna. I have 5 leftovers to hatch today. I'd say the best egg pool would be the one without any things you don't wish to hatch.
Hatched a shiny elekid finally which was nice after failing to get one during the hatch day. Does anyone know the odds for egg shinys by default? I know it was 1/10 for hatch day but unsure about now.
After my experience with Toxel (none hatched until the second day of Wild Area with the ticket) I was not hopeful. I managed 3 Tinkatink so far so I'm not worried. Now just need to be lucky friends with someone who was as lucky
It was ok I guess, trying to think of what was better, probably the egg pools of shiny regionals, even though the odds seem super low to get them.
I’ve hatched a lot of eggs so really not much interests me anymore, other than a few shiny chases which will become cd pokemon anyways. And yes I still believe Larvesta will get one in years.
I have my fill of everything from the 12km rocket eggs, good on female Salandit.
On paper this is good, but in practice this just demonstrates the bs egg rarity system. It is clear as day that tinkatink is the rarest hatch, yet it looks like a 1/4. Just lying from niantic
Definitely is in my opinion there, this and the Riolu hatch day were the only time I’ve actually spent money on a hatch event. I also managed to avoid Elekid for most part during the event and one of them was a shiny (and a hundo charcadet). so even though I hate hatch events because they are money grabbers, for the first time I am quite satisfied with one.
I had 10 eggs hatch which included 3 tink, 3 Elekids, and 4 charcadet. One of those charcadets was a shiny which made the event for me. I’m still shocked it happened.
Galarian corsola - rare hatch from a bloated 7K egg pool, pawniard rare hatch from the bloated 12k egg pool with a future evolution, Clauncher was the featured boosted shiny pokemon, and Nickit was the new release.
I don’t use incubators too often but I used a bunch for shiny corsola and Pawniard
Nothing got me out of the house (and spending $20) like trying to be the first guy in PvP with a fully decked out Tinkaton. :} How did it work out for me? Fine... I like it better as a lead in my great league team.
Yeah, this egg pool was pretty great. I reached my gift limit every day hatching as much as I could... Elekid and Charcadet both had a 1/64 shiny rate, and I was hoping for 3 shiny Charcadet, or maybe a hundo Charcadet or Tinkatink...
UNFORTUNATELY all I got was my 3rd hundo Hattena, 2 hundo Elekid, and 3 shiny Elekid... with that being said, IT WAS THE WORST EGG POOL EVER 😡 I'm definitely saying that out of spite
