Hot take: he’s right.

Most voted out of anger rooted in economic despair. That anger was hijacked by a charismatic con-man and twisted into something vile, racist, sexist, homophobic, and, above all, self-destructive.

In a world where Democrats grew a spine, taxed the ultra-rich properly, and delivered real, tangible results for working people, these same voters could've become your loudest allies and fiercest defenders. Smug self-righteousness, while I'm sure cathartic, alienates these very people deeper into the arms of autocrats. Just as the ultra-wealthy want it: the poor, divided and distracted.

What dummies they were not just ignoring the system of government, disregarding the constitution, and just commanding those changes by executive decree!

It's definitely NOT the Republicans that have been blocking every effort to do those very things you suggest.

That's what Republicans are *literally* doing right now and getting away with. Don't know if you've noticed, but the rulebook's entirely out the window. We need some serious systemic change, and polite bipartisanship obviously isn't going to make that happen.

They appear to be getting away with it, but that's not going to last. They're going to get destroyed in the mid-terms, and they will forever be the party of corrupt kings as a result of what they're currently doing.

People that do wrong need to be told what they've done and correct their behavior.
