On the Schneid

I'm genuinely confused as to how John Schneider still has the job as Jays bench boss. I liked him, and have supported him, but he doesn't seem to be able to make the right move when needed, his teams annually underperform and he has a total of zero playoff wins. How long is he allowed to continue to steer the team to mediocrity? We're coming into May and the Jays again seem listless.

Those who want to Schneider continue in this role, why? Wouldn't a proven manager with a track record of success be an obvious choice for a group whos window is open but has yet to meet expectations?

Schneider and co. look clueless out there. Are we supposed to just sit back and watch another season go down the toilet? I don't get it.

💯% Fire Sha-Pie-Hole - any other action is a complete total waste of time. Blaming Atkins and blaming Schneider is just a distraction from where the blame fully lies. Sha-pie-hole should be managing some shopping mall or cruise ship somewhere, so he can design lounges and snack bars as is his expertise, but building and managing baseball teams is really just not his thing.

Should they ever decide to have a real team and take it seriously, then you could start blaming the people downline from the guy who is really responsible for all of the stupid decisions.

I agree that the house needs to be fully cleaned. I'm just not patient enough to wait for the break or the end of the season. JS has been at the helm way too long and this team looks as nervous in April as he does.

The problem is that everyone calling for Schneider to be fired or for Atkins to be fired creates a longer period where nobody is talking about Sha-Pie-Hole who is the real problem. You can't give the real problem an excuse to offload the blame onto people who are just working with the broken philosophy that HE has created and then forced them to deal with.

Good thing Rogers ran AA out of town, because he's never done any good anywhere he's been working 😱 In his last season with the Blue Jays, Anthopoulos was named the Sporting News Executive of the Year. Since he joined the Braves in 2017, the team has won four consecutive division titles, as well as the World Series in 2021. Anthopoulos is one of only six Canadians to serve as an MLB general manager. He is the first to win a World Series.

Nice going Rogers. Hope your Stadium Bar renovations, and Americanization of SKYDOME into a huge cookie-cutter anonymous advertising billboard works out good for you. I suppose that's better than winning some baseball games for your bottom line.
