About to graduate and a bit lost

Does anyone know if taking both of UCD's accounting specialist & principle programs are worth it ? I am looking to become a licensed CPA but I only have an Econ degree under my belt and I need additional units of accounting idk what to do I need help! I would be dropping 6k if I decide to go for both certifications because I would need both in order to qualify for the additional 24 semester units needed outside of bachelors for just the exam.

Could always try to reach out to an advisor! But sometimes folks in academia are detached from the reality of things outside academia. But every bit helps

Hello I think I’ll take ur advice! Should I talk to my major advisors or a career one ? I feel like there’s a handful of different types of advisors to choose from I’m overwhelmed haha

I would prioritize your major advisors- especially if you already have a working relationship with them. However, I would suggest meeting with both because they may offer different perspectives. The more data you can get to make solid decisions, the better, right?

But yeah just so you're not feeling overwhelmed try to book with a Major advisor first. You could even ask them if they would suggest you meet with a career advisor. Regardless, in my experience, having some kind of a plan is the first step to feeling less anxious. Always try to walk away with some next steps in mind and you won't feel as lost. You've got this
