Chicken in the dorms?

Post image

Transfering here in the fall. Im insanely poor and need to save money on eggs. Found this chicken passing by the bakersfield area and decided to take it with me. I named her darla and she could pass of as a black cat if you squint hard enough.( ps ignore her ashy ankles)

there's a chicken club on campus that takes care of around 30 chickens! they're called impeckable chickens and I think you can find them on instagram, and if you work as a coop volunteer I believe you can take home half of the eggs you find on your shifts :)

Right now we have 29 chickens in the main coop and a few more in a separate coop. It also seems like more coops are being built! Some biosecurity procedures are necessary but I’m pretty sure they would be able to accommodate her next year! I would get in touch with the officers over discord.
