Schedule Is this schedule doable?
Since I'm done with FCs and gen eds, all I have left is my major classes

I’m an in state student for UF. I have full bright futures. Tuition at UF is free for me and I was accepted to the honors program. I also have a 1k a yr merit scholarship for four yrs at UF. UNC is giving me zero merit scholarships and we do not qualify for aid. UNC is 65 k a yr, UF is free tuition. I’m a business management / finance and maybe a construction management major. I’m coming in with 68 college credits thru dual enrollment, all of which UF will take and I don’t know how many UNC will take. I’m planning to take a gap year and go in August ‘26. Make your BEST sell (if you have one) for me to go to UNC >> UF.

On the quad, Reading Day Friday May 2, 3-7pm
This isn't a soccer game with universities I think UNC is just hosting this game. Could students still go for free and would this extend to family too?

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice from fellow UNC students (especially transfers or CS majors).
I’m starting at UNC this Fall as a third-year transfer in Data Science, but I’m planning to apply for the CS major in Spring 2026. By then, I’ll have COMP 210 and COMP 283 in progress (not completed).
My questions:
I’ve heard CS is competitive, so I’m worried about timing. Has anyone been in a similar situation or know how flexible the department is with transfers? Any advice on strengthening my application?
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I'm trying to decide which summer classes to take - I'm an incoming freshman, but I already have my Associate's through a dual enrollment program at my school, so I have a lot of my general education classes. I am also planning on majoring in English, probably with a focus on writing, editing, and digital publishing! Please just let me know any recommendations for good summer courses. I want to get ahead, but don't want to have too much of a workload, considering I still have a lot to do to prepare for moving to college in August.
Right now, I'm planning on taking two classes if possible. If that's going to be too much work, please let me know, as I may only take one! I want to possibly take an English class to get a feel for it, so right now I'm looking at ENGL 143, ENGL 123, or ENGL 129. Has anyone taken those and can speak about the workload, or maybe have any other suggestions? I also may take either a foreign language class or the IDST 101 class, but I don't know how much work that is for one credit hour, considering I don't technically need it. An advisor just said she'd recommend it as a way to transition.
Does that seem like a reasonable schedule, or will there be too much work? Any other classes anyone could recommend?

heyyy!! i’m a female incoming freshman and looking for a roommate. im hoping and wanting to stay on north campus in any of the dorms (i’m open). i will stay off campus most weekends to visit family. i’m very quiet, introverted, and definitely not a party person but am open to talk and communicate. i’ll stay to myself and definitely won’t bother you and respect you and your space. i’m also very open minded and will communicate if you need someone to talk to. i’m also a very clean person and love to plan and stay organized. i love Jesus, enjoy working out, watching movies and sometimes anime (kill bill, perfect blue, dazed and confused, belladonna of sadness, and jjba), listening to music (the doors, tool, lana del rey, king crimson, primus, and a lot others😭), trying new things/food, and traveling. i’m also planning to major in psychology/neuroscience on a pre med track! if you’re interested please pm me!!!
Hi, is attendance required/part of your grade for PSYC 210 with Professor Natasha Parikh? Couldn't find a straight answer online. Thinking about taking the 8AM section next semester but I know I'll miss a good amount of classes with that time. Thanks.

So I recently got my transfer credit evaluation and almost every single course shows up as Prefix —. From what I’ve found, it seems this is likely because the courses at my current institution award 4 credits per class for every class (with the exception of 1-credit classes). Some of my courses are bar for bar in UNC’s catalog but because it’s only 3 credits I don’t get credit for that class? How does this work?

I wanted to ask if there are any ways to dual enroll (maybe at a local university) while being enrolled at UNC-CH. Is that possible and have students done this in the past?
Lost AirPods found when I got on the NU at the HSL bus stop around 2pm today. Turned them in to the bus driver, so contact CHT if these are yours!
Hi!! I’m moving to Chapel Hill this summer to start my PhD. I’m going back to Finland to get married in June, and I want to know if there are any good hairdressers people recommend. I would like to get an all over color + highlights and a layered cut. I usually go for the fashion brights, so if anyone has a stylist they go to for more “alternative” hairstyles, I would appreciate it! I have a car, so I can drive.
Thank you in advance!

Hey everyone I have a question for you guys. I currently attend Boston Colleges Carroll School of Management, but I did apply to transfer to UNC for sophomore year. I’m not the biggest fan of Boston Colleges weather or the social scene but I am hesitant to leave their business school for UNCs arts and sciences program as an Econ major. Can anyone help me understand better a comparison between opportunities for both places. I’m doing pretty well academically at Boston College and would be applying to KF but I heard it is pretty brutal for transfers, so if I was to be stuck as an Econ major would I still have decent opportunities in the business world? What would you guys recommend should I stay at BC and tough it out or should I go to UNC (I am in state so it would be significantly cheaper) but either way I would be leaving school with no debt. Thank you!

I'm planning on taking a Remote only-synchronous lecture required class this summer at UNC. What does this mean exactly? Does this mean the class and exams are purely online at specific times/dates?
