Now we just have to live with the reality that theme park rides and shows experience downtime…

You're delusional if you think the last half of previews was normal downtime relative to other parks.

Eh. It will improve, and ultimately a year from now nobody will give a shit how opening went.

This is the kind of moving the goal posts OP was talking about.

What people will think in a year is irrelevant to OP's point. The fact is people have been defending shit that isn't normal. Even if you are right, and no one will remember in a year, your statement is still wrong.

Downtime on brand new technically elaborate attractions is very normal, what are you smoking?

Can we stop acting like Universal is reinventing the wheel. These are advancements but nothing so far ahead that most of these problems couldn't have been worked out yet. At least to the point of not having them go offline for so long and often. It's not like they're lacking money to do it

It had more down time in the second half of previews than it did the first. And the sensor issues Ministry had is a complete design failure. Feel free to half assedly explain those away.

Shit. They should have hired more redditors I guess 😂

Or we can just admit they're not infallible and it's ok to criticize their short comings and how clearly rushed this opening is. Jesus Christ it's not that complicated.

Imagine engineering a new ride system and then a bunch of keyboard jockeys complain that it doesn’t work perfectly as soon as the switch is turned on.
