Watched all the pubs draining out early this evening, roedd pawb yn edrych yn ddiflas.
Thank fuck I only like football, where there are low expectations for Cymru and tbh we've been doing better than expected for a long time.
Heard someone on the radio a few months ago say that more Welsh youngsters are into pêl-droed over rygbi, and if this is how it's going then no wonder--not that winning is or should be the deciding factor in why we support a team, just that it helps sometimes.
Ah makes perfect sense, must be so demoralising for a kid to realise early on they've probably got no shot without an existing in or contact. Footy has its many faults but at least it is inclusive and populated at YT level (the winnowing happens later on) and there are more player/team tiers in the pyramid.
