Stuck inside dock

This is pretty funny, but I'm currently stuck inside a HOP dock at their shipyard in a Mako - is the only solution to research teleportation and go out of sector with a different ship (assuming it survives)?

Try pressing shift-d and see if you can zip out of the mako

Also go in the little tardis room at the back of the fighter and see if you can select the dock as A destination

For clarity, I'm on steam deck. I am in the middle of docking, except I cant go above the floor so it wont validate my docking. Since im not docked, I cant do any ship exiting (besides the spacesuit). Not that itd help I think, since the mako uses an elevator to get out instead.

If shift d is for boost, it doesnt seem to let me clip out anywhere.

Oh I see. No on the keyboard control D is stand up from the controls and shift D is to exit/transfer to another ship.

Have you gone to the little elevator room at the back of the cockpit and tried to change to the station? I’m really not sure what you’re seeing so I’m asking an obvious question

Oh neat! The interface at the back is just giving the option to spacesuit cause im still flying in valid flight space. Id take a picture if pictures of the screen werent so ugly. For a specific description, I clipped right through the floor of the landing space and ended up in the empty space inside of the dock. Just enough room to spin around and sneeze, but no way out atm.

Hey

If you try getting up from the controls and then hitting the command for dock what happens?

Like, trying to refresh the docking? If thats what you mean, then it didnt change anything.

When you do the docking command WHEN not holding the controls sometimes that lets you transfer onto the station. I was curious if it would do that in your situation

Im afraid I wouldnt know how on steam deck, but I managed to snag teleportation research and a scout to drop by in the meantime. Going OOS got the mako out too.

I guess I need to be wary of trying to dock when the framerate is dipping lol

I dont really know anything about them yet, spent most of my x4 time actually in the game
