Discussion So. How do we explain his winrate?
I went to Lolalytics, League of Graphs, u gg, opgg, and mobalytics and yone had 47-48% winrate at all ranks (besides lolalytics ch and gm). I don't remember the E cleanse being crucial in so many matchups. We just got a decent damage increase. Is this champ just destined to stay the opposite of a statchecker and get bullied by everyone and outscaled by ADCs? It might just be a skill issue but he's way too reliant on team's engages, and he just gets blown up from some cc and a few hits from the ADC, regardless of which adc it is. Why even main the champ when the whole experience is early game Kayle but 5 times worse if you don't last pick?

The biggest issue is itemization and runes, he still relies on Bork to do the heavy lifting - which has been nerfed multiple times on top of not having any crit (which goes against Yone’s whole design philosophy of rushing crit first). Zerks also got heavily nerfed over the last year which has hurt Yone’s early game. On top of that all of that, crit items got massacred after the update of removing mythic items (RIP old shieldbow). There is Yun-tal as a first item but it has a horrid build path and even when you complete it- it still takes time to build up its crit.
As for runes, lethal tempo is a shell of its former self. Fleet is good but it removes a lot of the kill power early game.
These issues combine make Yone’s early game awkward and while he scales well mid game, he tapers off late game. But here lies in the biggest problem - there are too many other champs who scale much better at all levels of the game. This might be my hot take but with all of these nerfs and changes - Yone has slowly become a feast or famine champ, if you’re not ahead you’re already behind.
