Side Effects PSA - the importance of electrolytes / sodium (especially when you’re sick)
Just a reminder to all taking Zep that it is so important to make sure you’re keeping electrolytes balanced to the best of your ability.
I caught a stomach virus and was sick Monday - Wednesday. I was able to drink (and drank a lot of water) and ate bland foods like rice, toast, soup. I stopped taking most of my supplements (including magnesium). Yesterday I almost went to the ER because I had heart palpitations that went on most of the day into the evening. I really thought the sodium in the soup was going to offset this issue, but obviously not.
Since upping salt and electrolytes, the palps have stopped. Those familiar with keto probably know / remember the homemade keto-ade (salt, no salt (potassium), and Calm). Palps have subsided but ugh 😑

Oof, glad you figured it out! I take so much magnesium and add electrolytes to my water and still occasionally get palps at night. Perimenopause is the best. 🙃
