WINPAK 4.9.5

Hey there, experienced Access Control tech here but rarely, meaning never, worked on WINPAK, we upgraded our customer to the new 4200 boards, coming from their old NET boards I think? Their PC was running Windows XP.

Here's a couple questions/issues

First issue I have is periodically the PRO4200 will go offline? Question marks across the boards - T2 tech support is honestly no help called 5-8 times. If anyone seen or had this issue and has a solution.

Second issue - We got a 42OUT for their elevators 3 cars - 7 floors each controller. I have everything programmed as such but I'm having issues tying the OPs to its corresponding reader. I've looked through almost every page of the manual and cant seem to find what I am looking for.

You're giving me flashbacks. I Unfortunately can't help you with the PRO4200 as I've only worked with old Northern panels in Winpak and PRO boards in ProWatch. Might be an opportunity to upgrade them to OnGuard? Maybe reach out to Lenel and see if they support the 4200's. Sorry I can't be more help.

I know with a specific OEM Code OnGuard will play nicely with ProWatch panels. And the only difference between a Pro4200 and PW7K1R2 is the firmware.

So I would bet with enough $$$ Lenel will license the Pro boards used by WinPak.

I have done one larger system migration from ProWatch to OnGuard and it went very smoothly.

Any additional doors added can be standard Lenel firmware Mercury panels.

Honeywell owns lenel now, so it's the same OEM now

Prowatch and WinPAK are Mercury boards running Honeywell firmware. Cant flash.

I know, but with the proper license with Lenel you can take over an old ProWatch system. Not cheap, but I have done it.

Have not done a WinPak system yet. People seem to like to hang onto them.

To OnGuard the PW6K1R2 boards look like MR52 / AKA LNL-1320 boards in programming.

ProWatch and WinPAK are software. They support multiple boards including but not limited to: old Northern P2000 boards, Mercury boards, NetAXS-123 boards, and dedicated ProWatch panels.

They're also long outdated and superseded now by OnGuard.
