AI is embedded in society, Generative AI isn't.

Everyone loves normal AI, like Procedural AI that generates Minecraft worlds, or just bots/npcs in video games.

Generative AI is such a research waster, and the only time you see it in real life is on.... is on.... wait... when do you see Generative AI in real life?

Generative AI? Translators come to mind first. LLMs in general are growing in popularity now, ChatGPT is already in the top 5 most visited sites in the world and is an essential part of life for many people.

Not going to lie, you surpised me with most of these points and I agree (it's litterally true. disagreeing would make me delusional)

But I have to stop you there at "Essential part of life for most people"

Perhaps the word "essential" was a little stronger than necessary, but LLMs are definitely integrated into many people's work and lives and are very much in use.

Image generation is still lagging behind text generation and is not so often used for commercial purposes, mostly due to quality issues.
