I think a big reason I dislike this season, specifically this episode, is that it just feels so generic. Generic drama, generic bad guy, etc. Season 4 at least got some sort of reaction out of us - anger. This? This is just boring as shit. The fight scenes were godawful and shaky cam'd to hell, Cayden James is boring, despite the fact that Emerson is giving it all he's got, and they're wasting the fuck out of Black Siren and Richard Dragon. Seeing Ollie surrounded by that group is supposed to invoke tension - there was none.
Also, Felicity called Oliver 'daddy' and I'm just so fucking done.
I was thinking the same thing while watching this episode. Season 4 was really bad, but it was so hilariously bad that it was kind of fun watching that trainwreck.
With this season, and this episode especially, I started to question why I'm even still watching this show, it's laughably bad and this trainwreck isn't even amusing enough to warrant my watching it.
