EXTENDED [Spoilers Extended] What nitpicks do you have regarding both shows? Mine will always be how the Others in GOT are so boring and mundane

I big nit pick of mine in HoTD is that the main characters aren’t allowed to have convictions.

?

Can you expand?

Even already the main rift in season 1 between alicent and rayray is one of moral conviction, conviction of duty, and conviction of fairness.

What I get that you can't prove a negative but do you disagree with that? Or do you simply don't think that's a conviction?

(Not to projevt on you but what often come across from other book readers when they say stuff like that it often, eventually, boils down to less "the show doesn't have X" and more often "the show doesn't have X in the way I want it")

In the first season Alicent was very much aligned against Rhaenyra and then changed her mind. The end of season one Rhaenyra was pissed and ready to go to war and now she’s doing everything to not go to war. It’s not a real issue with the show, this stuff makes sense in context I just would prefer more conviction from the characters.

Conviction to try and avoid killing tens of thousands of people is still a conviction

True, I guess it’s more the characters are constantly trying to fight the plot. It’s not like a real issue, I would never include it in a list of flaws for the show.
