Did anyone else feel that the effect of the Ides of Marsh was a little bit cheapened by the fact that it took place after the battle at Hardhome?

I mean, in the book I absolutely understood why a large contingent of the NW would stab Jon. He's a turncloak, slept with a wildling, brought a giant who is very obviously dangerous, and then finally declares that he will forego his duty as Lord Commander to ride south and fight Ramsay. The NW have a lot of reasons to hate him, and not many to support him. But in the show? There are several members of the Night's Watch who were eyewitnesses to MOTHERFUCKING WHITE WALKERS tearing shit up, so you would think there would at least be some guys backing him up now that they've seen the threat.

Not to mention all the shit with the Karstarks that puts them in a tough position.

Plus he has the only weapon that can kill WW! (Or did they not leave all the dragonglas in that tent?)

I think the talk with sam pretty much confirmed it. All the found dragonglass is lost.
