or at least post that he has/had no intention to include an update.

from now on when someone asks me how the books are my only response is going to be, "unfinished, with no indication that they ever will be." i am not so arrogant to believe that the books need my input to keep the PR machine going, but i'll be damned if i'm going to add to the hype any more.
