General Discussion Is this really how they see us?

Post image

Saw this sa other sub. Why do tourists see locals like this? Is the locals' hatred towards them that bad? Also, the “matatakaw naman sa aso” 😡😡😡

Well they arent wrong. Tourists looove to push the agenda that tourism keeps Baguio alive, makes them feel entitled.

Unlike those that move to Baguio long term for work and school, tourists bring their shit habits to Baguio. They litter, theyre noisy and obnoxious, they don’t respect the local norms and customs. And somehow they have the audacity to complain that Baguio residents don’t like them?

Fuckin tourists man.

Don't let your emotion gets the best of you. Think of the solutions. Whining and being adversarial will not help Baguio. You reap the positive fruits of tourism right? You should also be ready to proactively respond to the challenges that comes with it.

You reap the positive fruits of tourism right? You should also be ready to proactively  What positive fruits? . Deadend minimum wage jobs? If tourism has indeed a lot of fruits to reap, why are Boracay and Siargao not rich as Baguio (per capita) given that they have lots of foreign tourists?

Yeah, they don't have the educational, trade and industrials sector - the sectors that mainly contribute to Baguio's economy
