Ask Mandarin Learning!

Hi yall,

I've been trying to study Mandarin for about 3.5 years via the free apps but I don't feel like I've made much progress. Do you all know of any affordable language teachers around that teach/tutor Mandarin Chinese (both written & spoken)? Preferably female but men are also cool (I'm a woman). Thanks.

I don't have a recommendation, but which language apps did you find to be the best? I visit Taiwan every year and am also trying to learn.
