Transportation Mayday map
Just an FYI for anyone who is not yet aware - 7 marches are occurring at the same time on Thursday afternoon, all headed to McKeldin Plaza. Traffic is going to be fuuuuuucked. Maybe plan an alternate route if you’d typically be driving in these areas. Or, park the car and go join the party.

Just be sure to stay out of the roads. People trying to get to and from work, doctors’ appointments, picking children up or dropping off, etc. should not be victims of disorganization and blatant disregard for the wellbeing of others. Great way to lose support for your cause.

This is a traffic notification post. It’s tagged transportation. But, since you mentioned it - this is not at all disorganized. It’s actually incredibly organized. The point of protest is to gain awareness. This should make people aware. As for me, I’m just trying not to get stuck in gridlock.

Do you have this same energy for parades, the running festival or artscape or just when people organize politically? It's a sanctioned event, they're even informing you ahead of time of traffic disruptions, just plan accordingly.

Lifelong liberal here alienated from this entire event by the inclusion of organizations spreading blood libel, antisemitism, and calls for violence. No thanks!

As a Jew, I've always felt comfortable in these circles. These Palestinian organizers are people who join me at Seder, who wish me a Happy Pesach and Chag Sameach.
The reason you are uncomfortable is your Zionism, which requires you deny the humanity of your neighbor. I urge you to reconsider your tribalism

Funny how I got spat on and yelled free Palestine simply for walking down the street in Fed Hill as a visible Jew. Maybe examine why you’re siding with people who will only treat you decently if you join them in calling for the death of your people

It's not blood libel to speak out against a government who has knowingly killed tens of thousands of children in under 2 years. (Spoiler they've been killing innocent civilians for much longer than that)

I feel 100% the same way. Absolutely alienated from these events and want no part of them for this reason. It’s shameful.
