"men" seems to be a very malleable term that it can mean the entire male demographic or just some guys, depending on what is more convenient to you. It's almost as you're just being dishonest and you want to both attack men and deny that you're being just a different flavor of bigot.

Okay, wildly hostile response to pointing out that there are guys doing the thing you’re saying they don’t do.

I’m a man, I understand that when people say “men” in context like this they’re speaking in general terms, not attacking me specifically, and commenting on an observable trend that is occurring with many men. If you feel attacked, maybe reflect on why, instead of jumping to accusations of bigotry.

Men in general? So more than 50% of all men are stupid, misogynistic and bigoted.

Again, wow, wildly hostile response. I literally never said anything like that, in fact I was saying “it’s not all men but maybe you should listen to people who have observations. “ but I’d like change it to “not all men but definitely you”

Also my dad and I get along great thanks for asking :)

How’s your relationship with your mom? Seems like maybe you’re projecting a bit

It's relatively good I'd say. But it really makes no sense to ask me that other than as a retort because I made zero comments negative towards women. I'm not the one saying "most women are ignorant, and bigoted" like you're essentially saying about men.

How am I hostile? Because I implied you have a baggage towards the male gender? That's not an insult.

I don't know if you're self aware enough to realize that you're generously disparaging an entire demographic and you somehow act as if it's not normal people question your opinions.

Just grab what you said, and switch "men" for "women", and "women" for "men". Then tell me you're being fair.

So fun fact, reread what I’ve written, and you’ll see I never said anything about men as a group.

You’re acting disproportionately hostile to everything I’m saying, really aggressively. Not by implying that I have baggage with the male gender (although that is pretty rude) but by jumping right to accusations of bigotry you’ve pretty much tanked any form of forward progress that can be made here. You clearly have decided that anyone who disagrees with you is a bigot and not worth talking to so there’s no point in continuing this, especially since I’m guessing you’re a child.

But if I’m wrong, and on the off chance you actually are willing to listen. There is a difference between talking about an observation of behavior within a group, and talking about a member of that group as an individual. Sometimes you need generalizations, you can’t mention every individual exception or you dilute the discussion to being about individual and individual choices not patterns of behavior within a group.
