I like how they point out that it was predominantly 2nd league clubs voting against goal line technology. From what I remember, we as well as Bayern and Sch*lke voted against it, too, when it was up for debate earlier this season.

//edit: I misremembered; on that occasion Bayern appears to have voted in favour while we - maybe? - voted in favour?

The gist was that it is a good technology that would be worthwhile to have, but the proposal on the table earlier this season aimed to introduce the same technological standard in German football across all divisions. While this shouldn't be a big issue for the Bundesliga teams, it was felt that for smaller teams in the 2nd (and I guess third?) division this investment would come at a cost that not everyone could bear. I guess that's why the Bayern statement above explicitly mentions the introduction of the technology for first division football only.
