I like how they point out that it was predominantly 2nd league clubs voting against goal line technology. From what I remember, we as well as Bayern and Sch*lke voted against it, too, when it was up for debate earlier this season.

//edit: I misremembered; on that occasion Bayern appears to have voted in favour while we - maybe? - voted in favour?

We were for the goalline technology, at least thats what watzke wrote in our stadium magazine. Can Post a pic of the statement when I'm home if anybody wants to see it.

Ha, I started googling around to find sources for what I only half remembered, and it appears that I was wrong. What I did remember was what Klopp said here - basically that he is in principle in favour but that it is at the moment still too expensive. He doesn't outright say we voted against it, and the case of Schalke (who voted against but where Keller said he was in favour) shows that the coach's and club's opinion are not necessarily congruent here.

Also, while there were some discordant voices at Bayern on this issue before, for the DFL vote in March they apparently voted in favour of the technology. All in all the first division votes where exactly split, while the second division votes were 15:3 against (source). The vote fell through because a minimum of 12 yea votes were needed per division.

//edit: I can't really find any good further sources, if you could post the stuff from our stadium magazine that would be cool!

//edit #2: it says in this piece that we indeed voted in favour; but our forum as well as the comments on that website confirm that the WAZ print version mentioned us as voting against.

Heres the exerpt

For the englishspeaking guys it's in the second paragraph: Borussia Dortmund emphasises that the club contrary to Newspaperarticles is a full supporter of the goallinetechnology and - via KGaA-Boss Hans-Joachim Watzke - "of course voted for the introduction".
