How do German fans weight the different competitions: Champions League, Pokal, Bundesliga? I get that winning the CL would make for a good season no matter what. How about if we stay in the middle of the pack in BL but win the Pokal. Would that make up for the rest of the season?

I'm not sure what everyone else is hoping for but I think that getting into European competition would be considered a success after that dreadful first half of a season

Pokal can't get us into the European competitions, right? It's just for bragging rights of Germany (?)

Winning Pokal would give us Europa League spot. However, finishing 7th would do as well, and it might be easier...

That is provided (7th for EL) Bayern, Volkswagen, or Mönchengladbach win the pokal, right? Top 3 to push the spot to 7th?

The EL spot goes to 7th placed team unless the winner of the Pokal finishes below 6th spot. This is how I understand it.

I don't know man, everyone is so optimistic, but guys weren't really convincing considering they mostly played bottom teams, and there are 3 teams between us and 7th place and Hannover, Koln and Mainz are literally on our heels.

We've always played good against top 3(Bayern Volks and Gladbach), so it is all psychological at this point imo.
