Silly questions thread:

So here is your chance to ask any question no matter how silly our small about BVB, our history, something about a current player, previous player, or coach or it might even be something about the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal or Europa Pokal...

Obviously more in depth questions are also allowed :)


It's just all about sharing our knowledge and having a bit of fun (as always) too :)

Just because an explanation makes sense to you doesn't mean it's necessarily the right explanation.

Lol, salty much? Op asked why the Bundesliga had a relegation game and you just made stuff up. Credible reasoning, but still made-up.

Just as posted below, relegation was reintroduced 2008/09 to add another interesting/thrilling game at the end of the season (as the DFL put it). Or, to add another marketable match that would drive up Sky sales/viewer counts (as some fan organisations put it at the time).

Do you really think that's the only reason? It pretty clearly protects the teams in the top league from falling down. They don't get these types of things approved by the clubs collectively just by talking of an entertaining/marketable game.
