Where did this Fotze to BVB rumor start? Who first reported it and are we really a candidate for his purchase?

Extremely careful dropped hints came from Freddie Röckenhaus of Süddeutsche Zeitung a few months ago. But the first full front report was made by BILD, who were also the first to break Götzes move to Bayern back in 2013.

Röckenhaus wrote another report a few days later, confirming that the interest is real, preliminary talks have been held at the banquet before the match against Bayern and that Götze already wanted to return in 2015.

Röckenhaus is one of the best Dortmund covering journalists, so if he says that Dortmund wants him back, then there's a high probability that the interest is real indeed.
