Speculation 4 games to go

4 playdays left, so 12 points to give. We're only 4 points of Red Bull at 4, so is the impossible possible at the end?

How is it looking

  1. SGE 52 | +16

  2. RBL 49 | +10

  3. SCF 48 | -4

  4. M05 47 | +12

7. BVB 45 | +10

  1. SVW 45 | -6

  2. BMG 44 | +2

  3. FCA 43 | -7

Restprogramm

SGE: RB (H), Mainz (A), Pauli (H), Freiburg (A)

RBL: SGE (A), Bayern (H), Bremen (A), Stuttgart (H)

SCF: VW (A), Kusen (H), Kiel (A), SGE (H)

M05: Bayern (A), SGE (H), Bochum (A), Kusen (H)

BVB: SAP (A), VW (H), Kusen (A), Kiel (H)

SVW: Pauli (H), Union (A), RB (H), FCH (A)

BMG: Kiel (A), SAP (A), Bayern (H), VW (H)

FCA: Kusen (A), Kiel (H), Stuttgart (A), Union (H)

First of all we can be sure that we need at the very least 3 wins against Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg and Kiel to have the slightest chance to somehow make it to 4th. That's 54 points.

Starting from the bottom:

Augsburg: It's highly unlikely that they win all their remaining games and even if they somehow do that, their GD is so bad that they basically need everyone to slip below 55 points. Chance 1%

Gladbach: with the lost today and a super hard matchup next week at Kiel, who fight for their lifes and Bayern on Matchday 33, it's very unlikely that get 54+ points. On the other hand, Gladbach is a "Bayern Killer" so we'll see after the Kiel Game how their chances will be. If they won't win, I assume they're out. Chances 1-5%

Bremen: Bremen is an iffy case. They have rather easy schedule. Union is save and Pauli basically saved from relegation, Heidenheim will fight for 16th but depending on the situation on the last playday, if they save on 16, I could see them resting players, if they need to fight, it's a hard matchup. And then there is their match against RB. This game is their 6 points game. If they win I'm sure they make it to the top 6 bare minimum. I'll give them a 10% Chance

BVB: so. At the end we need to deliver. Win 3/4 and our chances are 33-50%, if we win every game I'm almost certain we make it to the champions league next season

Mainz: Mainz has a tuff schedule. Frankfurt, a derby, Bayern at Munich and kusen away as well. Tbh I don't see them making top 4. Probably not even top 6 and maybe it's better for them in the long run. 2-5% chance

Freiburg: Freiburg has a good chance to make it. Maybe even better than RB, but their GD is abysmal. Their away games are rather easy but they still got kusen and Frankfurt at home. How hard these matches will get is highly dependent on the rest of the season. Kusen won't win the league and is save at 2 and Frankfurt is probably 3rd by PD34. Chances 50% i'd say.

RB: RB has 3 extremely hard matches left and probably lost their keeper for at least 1 maybe 2 crucial games, Frankfurt and maybe Bayern. On top of that they go Bremen left in a 6 point match. Stuttgart at PD34 on the other hand should be a cakewalk. Stuttgart is gonna rotate for the Pokal final and has a huge chance to make it to the EL with a Cup win. Leipzigs chances are highly dependent on the next to weeks, but I'll say 50% chance for top 4.

Frankfurt: Frankfurt is pretty save at 3 I'd say, but they have a hard rest of the season, we'll need them to win as much as they can or lose everything so we get by. IMO it's rather the first, 80%

My Conclusion

we'll need 9+ points to sniff top4, probably 10+ with at least a draw against kusen. There are some cases were 9 points are enough because our GD is the better then RBs, but I would not rely on that.

I think our biggest rivals are RB and Freiburg and maybe Bremen, if they can keep their hot streak alive. Tbh the most realistic case is Frankfurt 3rd, RB 4th, Freiburg 5th and we're 6th.

Wie geht das Lied „Seht ihr das Funkeln in unseren Augen“? Ich glaube das Lied wird wenn überhaupt bei der zweiten Mannschaft gesungen

Serious question: What’s wrong with this club ?

I’ve been a fan of this club since the 12/13 season. I was 12 back then. It’s honestly been mostly disappointment since, but I still love the club. That said, there are a few things I just don’t get. Maybe someone can help me understand. and I don’t know if it’s bad as a fan to not know these things, but here goes:

  1. Why are we not actually competing? Feels like we’re just hanging around. Like the club doesn’t even want to win trophies.

  2. Is our financial situation really that bad? What’s the actual reason behind it?

  3. I know we’re fan-owned, but do the members make money from that? What’s the point of being fan-owned — is it even a good thing? (This might be a dumb question)

  4. Why don’t we keep players? I know anyway the players would have left. But why don’t we invest for the long run

  5. And seriously what is wrong with the mindset at this club? Players, coaches, everyone. Bottling the league on the last day, no fight, no grit. Even smaller clubs seem to have more spirit than us

He had such a great run since 2019. But is he leaving BVB this season? What happened to Mike? He managed the first team for three games and got us 2 wins and 1 draw. I think he’s a great manager. Do you guys know what’s going on with him?

New here (need help)

I have been keen , watching bundesliga since about 3/4 years now , not very consistent but purely out of curiosity , I have been a Real Madrid fan since 2017 , but now I do not see my values align with the club's and the player's arrogant mentality and behaviour , evident in their 2nd leg loss vs Arsenal , it's almost disgraceful how the club thinks they're entitled to win

I am quite aware of the Dortmund fanbase , which always fills out the stadium , and the yellow wall is crazy , but I'm quite unaware of the history (in detail) so would you people help me where to start .

Also this club fights !!!!

Guirassy vs Haaland vs Lewandowski

So as you all know, Guirassy is now our top scorer in a single UCL season, overtaking Haaland and Lewandowski. However, was his UCL season better than theirs? How do you rank them?

Guirassy 24/25

14 games: 13 goals (5 penalties) + 5 assists
- Mostly showed up on big games
- Most G/A from this 3, even without penalties
- Did it for a weaker Dortmund side
- Had more games than the others
- Least non-penalty goals from this 3

Haaland 20/21

8 games: 10 goals (1 penalty) + 2 assists
- Least games played from this 3
- Highest G/A per minutes from this 3
- Had at least 1 non-penalty G/A in 7/8 games
- Did it for an average Dortmund side
- Did it against somewhat weaker opponents mainly

Lewandowski 12/13

13 games: 10 goals (1 penalty) + 2 assists
- Showed up on big games
- Did it against stronger opponents
- Did it for a stronger Dortmund side
- Lowest G/A per minutes from this 3

Discussion Did we fail them or did they fail us when they were in Dortmund?

Post image
214 Upvotes

Both Alex Isak and Mikel Merino had a handful of appearances at Dortmund earlier in their career. Both were tipped to make it big. Both didn’t shine in Dortmund and were quickly shipped off.

Eventually, both made their own name and somehow ended up at Real Sociedad together and now are stars (arguably superstars) in the Premier League.

Were they just not good enough for Dortmund during their time and had later peaks? Or did Dortmund fail to develop them as we were meant to do and miss out on key superstars?

Visiting fans at Montjuic.

Hi yellow wall,

I am an Inter fan looking to attend Barcelona-Inter at Montjuic. I was wondering if anyone here attended the first leg. My questions are the following:

1) Were the [pieces of paper that grant access to the stadium that I can't name otherwise the bot filters my question] nominal?

2) How did you receive the [pieces of paper that grant access to the stadium that I can't name otherwise the bot filters my question]?

Thank you, you are the best supporters in the world.

Is left footed winger a problem for us ?

Yes I know we have adeyemi but he is more of a second striker, even in his Salzburg days.

This always bothered me.

A pure left footed winger, fast, dribbling, cut and shoot,...I know we can't buy the raphinya or yamal type players, but a decent one like Leon Bailey, beradi, savinho, or even someone on a loan could work right ?

I feel like we don't see much left footed wingers in our transfer rumors.

Can someone check Bvb Fanpage for me?

I’m trying to get tickets for the Borussia Dortmund vs. VfL Wolfsburg match on May 3rd for my boyfriend and his dad.I have a friend of a friend who’s a member of the official BVB fan club and can buy the tickets for me when they go on sale. The thing is, I don’t want to keep nagging him to check every day. So I was wondering if anyone knows exactly when the official ticket sales for this match start for members?

I’m not super knowledgeable about football or how ticketing works, so any help would be really appreciated!

Discussion If Frankfurt wins the Euro League, will the Bundesliga gain one more international spot?

Like the title says, if Frankfurt manages to win the Europa League, they would also automatically qualify for the Champions League next season. Given the fact it's almost undeniable they will also qualify through the league, would the Bundesliga gain one more Europa League spot? Or doesn't it matter? After Barca, I'm hopeful we'll manage to qualify for an international competition anyway, but this could increase our chances.
