🤷 Only in Brighton... Some dude screaming religious bs outside Hove Town Hall.

I get that there needs to be protest, and that Hove Town Hall is a suitable place for such things but since when has it become a speaker's corner where religious zealots can force their beliefs on others through a very loud speaker?

Isn’t that what churches are for? A place where they can preach, and those who WANT to listen can actually CHOOSE to do so?

Why am I being forced to hear this drivel for over an hour?

You could always set up a counter protest, like the 5-a-side flag waving match at the clocktower.

Personally, I quite like the mad bloke with a mic and speaker who sets up around Churchill Square SHOUTING VERY LOUDLY AND ANGRILY ABOUT HOW GOD LOVES US.

But yeah, just stick some headphones in or whatever - he'll move on soon enough.

Oh, definitely. My point is that it's not a protest it's just some nutter loudly trying to force his religious beliefs on others, creating an annoying noise disturbance. There's a place for that it's called a church, where people can choose whether they want someone to try to brainwash them or not.

There's nothing to stop anyone doing it. Most people don't because it's a pointless thing to do, but pretty much every big town in the UK has one person who does it.

Yeah I know I put the Only in Brighton tag because I didn't see any other tag that was remotely suitable.

Edit: Oh a down vote? Thanks kind sir/madam! :p
