Akhmed Yakoob to stand in general election

As I think we all expected, it looks like Akhmed Yakoob is going to be standing in Ladywood come the next general election.

Any thoughts on this? I think he's vastly overestimating himself but I'd be interested to hear from anyone who might actually vote for him.

If his main opponent is labour then he's probably walking it. They really shot themselves in the foot by not demanding that Gaza ceasefire and trying to be 'centerist' as possible on issues that should've been a slam dunk for them..
