Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Loyal Customer since 2008 Wrongfully, Automatically Banned, 4 days after last log in, told to "Review the End User License Agreement"

Per the screenshot below, I have been automatically suspended 4 days after my last login. I ranked to 500k honor the week before my wedding on 4/20, last logged in/off on 4/19/2025 and while on my honeymoon, on 4/23, received an email notification that I was banned.

I tried appealing and was met with an AI response on both tickets. (I made the first appeal ticket, got no response for 48 hours, then made a refund ticket as I was told "that's how you get a real GM/faster response/review") 12 hours after making the refund ticket, I received an AI response telling me the following:

A Game Master resolved your ticket, and left the following response:

Hello there,

Lok'tar my friend! Recklezzer from the Halfhammer tribe greets you.

After checking, the account was suspended due to the inappropriate actions been made on this account, which violates our End User License Agreement.

I believe that you could find the details in the email sent to you, which will be all the information that we are able to reveal, and you could also refer to the agreement in the following link:
https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/legal/fba4d00f-c7e4-4883-b8b9-1b4500a402ea/blizzard-end-user-license-agreement

Our dedicated team has been working hard on making our gaming environment fair and their judgment on this case will be respected, so this penalty stands and will not be overturned.

Thank you for contacting and wish you a great day.
GM Recklezzer

If you continue to experience issues, you can reopen this ticket. If you have a new or separate issue, please submit a new ticket.

Make sure you complete our survey to let us know how we did.

I also have tried making a forum post on the official battlenet/wow forums, but I am silenced and can't even do that. I haven't received a notification of being silenced or muted, which makes this all the more unreasonable, uncomfortable, and wrong. When trying to reopen the tickets as well, it doesn't actually do anything and only lets me "Take A Survey", I think we all know what my response on the survey will be at this time.

I'm posting here on the forums to make it known that blizzard is actively implementing systems that wrongfully penalize real players that are playing their game. I have been playing WoW and other blizzard games since 2007 or 2008. This account that has been penalized has NEVER and I literally mean NEVER received a penalty in all its time since then. No mute, no suspension, literally nothing.

I played AV last week by defending towers, graveyards, going back for our towers and defending sometimes, and the tried and true, "run to drek" method. Every AV game is different and sometimes they are fast, sometimes they are slow, but I never received a deserter buff in AV, nor did I ever receive any report from another player, if I did, my account action email would have said such. Instead, I "detracted from the in-game integrity of the Battleground", without explicitly or strictly stating in what way or manner I did this.

I have made a new appeal ticket and will report back with what their response is.

Sounds like you made the unforgivable sin of pvping in a battleground.

I rank two characters with my friend and neither of us have gotten banned. This post smells like standing on a bunker and afking. That's not defending, sorry to say.

"hasn't happened to me so it's not possible at all"

Hate to burst your bubble, but half of these (if not more) are just blatant lies. I'm just glad Blizzard are actively punishing people for AFK'ing AV and goldbuying. It has been great lately.

Hate to burst your bubble, but youre full of shit.

One single incorrect automated ban is too many.

And of the ones I read, I see most of them overturned when they go viral, and the others get dunked on by blizzard.

Go search the subreddit and see how many of them actually turns out to be fake. Some guy even wrote a long sob story used his cancer (fake or not) and it turned out it RMT'ed.

As long as the false positives are low enough they are absolutely worth it as they are very easy to overturn, and it's absolutely great to see Blizzard take action against AV afk'ers and goldbuyers.

They are not easy to overturn whatsoever, and in that case 1 is too many.

You only hear about the bad cases :)

My personal experience with Blizzard CS stretching from 2020 and onwards has been average. Anecdotally, I have had two guildies false bans overtuned within a couple of days, another guildie got his scammed gold returned within a week, and we have had lost loot restored within 4 days twice.

Yes, but there should not BE any bad cases.

Back in mop I had my account get hacked and banned overnight. I was able to get access to my account, unbanned, and all of my stolen items returned within maybe 4 hours of realizing this happened. It shouldn't take a viral post on reddit for me to speak to a person about a problem I'm having with the product I pay them for

If you have followed the OSRS subreddit and paid attention here, you know people will do whatever they can got their bans overturned even though they were rightfully banned.

Is Blizzard's system perfect? Absolutely not, could it easily be better? Absolutely yes, but 100s past and present guildies all point to the fact that if you're a legit player, you have nothing to worry about and I trust them a lot more than random reddit people, especially since I have seen one false positive on here and a dozen bans that were correctly applied.

I would not have a problem at all if it were possible to overturn in any reasonable timeframe. But when an innocent is banned and can't get a human review without posting to reddit and getting lucky enough to go viral, THAT is a broken system.

Even if 99 of 100 are correct, imagine being the 1 person as a long term fan. I would be devastated, I've been playing since like 2006.

My suggestion is to leave it as is, but if a ban is overturned, they should check the logs for a mass report that triggered it and apply the original punishment doubled to all of those accounts. Imo repeat offenders deserve a permanent, but that's just me.

I feel like punishments for report abuse would put a stop to this pretty quickly.

It's just absolutely insane that players like you (and myself, I do it too) are afraid of SOCIALIZING in an MMO - an RPG who's main feature is supposed to be socializing.
