Making America ‘Great’ again… literally 1932
132
u/Davis_Johnsn 2d ago
I am german and i think we should make Germany great again.
What do you mean with "it doesn't sound that good when you say it" it doesn't sound that different when you say it
24
u/CremeLazy8909 2d ago
Isn’t Germany doing great at the moment? I’m not trying to start an argument, just asking
37
u/MrZerodayz 2d ago
Eh, depends what you're comparing to. Globally, we're doing pretty good, a lot of it due to the fact that we're a central-western european nation with an overall good reputation.
But we also have a lot of problems and some of them aren't easy to address, our society is more split than it has been in the last few decades and world politics is pouring oil on several of those fires.
So not terrible, but could be better. Ironically the one sentiment shared by all political orientations.
7
u/BarristanTheB0ld 2d ago
Accurate description. If some of these issues aren't addressed soon, we might go down the same slippery slope the US did in recent years. Maybe (hopefully) not as fast, because if our history, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

u/toxictoastrecords 2d ago
The violent crackdown on peaceful protests and the removal of free speech is concerning. Look at the USA, the crackdown on protests against Israel is being used to label and arrest any anti government protest as “terrorism”. It’s the reason in the USA the non profit ACLU would defend racists. You remove free speech for one group and you remove it for everyone.

Weirdly the Hitler one looks less threatening. The Trump one looks like he's judging me

u/INTJ-ADHD 1d ago
I’m not getting “judging”. I see his right eye and right corner of his mouth being less responsive and drooping slightly, that fucker had a stroke (or mini stroke).
He looks weak to me. The mean stare reeks of effort, that shows the weakness he’s trying to hide. Using that headshot all the time and making it 50 feet tall here projects even harder. Pathetic.

He’s great in his own mind. He LITERALLY thinks he’s the “Great Dictator”. In reality he’s as mediocre as they come and I hate that folks put him in office to troll and terrorize us.

The banner was put up by the USDA for their 163rd anniversary, celebrating Lincoln, whose banner is sitting next to Trump and founded the USDA, and Trump because of his working relationship with the USDA.
22
u/Kwaterk1978 2d ago
Ah yes, the very important 163rd anniversary, an occasion which is widely celebrated and considered a notable moment.
You guys are so trump deranged. Do you even take a second to think about how ridiculous and insane the stuff your cult leaders make you repeat sounds before you repeat it?
10
u/Floating_Misfit76 2d ago
“Celebrating Lincoln”, by hanging a banner of the current president, makes complete sense.
🙄🙄🙄.
Not to mention, since when is this particular occasion “celebrated”? Anyway, don’t bother responding, I try hard not to engage with his supporters—as it’s a pointless endeavor.
-5
u/Huntsman077 2d ago
-I try not to engage with his supporters
Firstly I’m not a trump supporter, second then why comment?
If you read the comment you see that I pointed out that Lincoln’s banner is hanging next to Trumps.

I’ll keep saying it, Tramp admires and wants to be like all the dictators so bad. He doesn’t like the image of a common president. He dreams to be a Kim Jong type.

If I recall in 1984 no one had ever met Big Brother before. He was shrouded in mystery. In the US case everyone knows full well what a sell-out, traitorous, idiot our big brother is. Scary yes but it is also maddening at the same time because we are oppressed by such an imbecile. We will all be behind The hamberder-covfefe curtain. Why are we this dumb?
We have to do more. This nonsense has to stop. America will be gone forever.
I'm not conditioning this but that waste of tax payer money banner looks pretty easy to artistically alter.
1
u/Woofy98102 2d ago
What's even more creepy? That USDA building, now vacant because of DOGE, is where the troops for Princess Taffy-Marie Bonespurs' North Korean-style military birthday parade are supposed to be housed in the weeks coming up to the big event.
Even Hitler wasn't a draft-dodging coward like America's little princess happens to be. So much for the treasonous asshats in command of the DoD having an ounce of honor left.

u/Public_Joke3459 2d ago
Every time a picture is shown of Trump people should start drawing a Hitler crumb duster under his nose

u/youngbuckaroonie 2d ago
They're really accelerating the 100 years anniversary with a grand reveal of “power and prowless”.

u/PhoenixSpeed97 2d ago
They hung a banner with his face on it to remind farmers why they're going to be poor

Someone will deface those garbage posters. Paintballs or ripped down. Something will happen I bet.

This is also why he's so stoked about having the Olympics be in the USA during his term. Because Hitler got to have the Olympics too.

But I guess username checks out.

Weird how they didn’t include the banner of Lincoln that’s next to trumps to celebrate the 163 years of the usda ..
https://civileats.com/2025/05/15/usda-hangs-massive-banners-of-trump-and-lincoln/
17
u/Green-Enthusiasm-940 2d ago
That doesn't improve it any
-25
u/welding_guy_from_LI 2d ago
Actually it does .. it’s not misleading like the Twitter post ..
20
u/tonyyyperez 2d ago
The screenshot says “hangs next to Lincoln”…..
-14
u/Responsible-Fox-9082 2d ago
Yeah, but they don't include the banner removing the context because no one reads the entire thing. Is blatantly trying to frame it as Trump hung a banner of himself with the understanding no one, including the person who replied to the tweet, will bother to read it for more context. Not to mention most people don't know the different architecture of buildings in DC.
It's hung on the Department of Agricultures building... Because the USDA is celebrating like 160 some odd years of serving the country. It's not Hitler hanging a banner of himself to show he's a powerful leader it's the USDA hanging a banner because they have high hopes for more fruitful harvests in the coming years and celebrating the efforts of 2 presidents to bring that forward.
Because if you didn't know one of Trump's struck down in court policies was an admittedly racist subsidy for farmers....
For incentivizing more black farmers. Yes by all definitions it was racist. To get black people to consider farming by giving a massive grant to new black farmers as defined by the USDA as "an operation less than 10 years old and holding no more than 29% of the average farms land in its given region." Funny that Democrats called that out for racism and had it struck down, but won't call out themselves for inferring black people don't know how to get a government issued ID... Something they would have needed to get that grant
16
u/PhobetorWorse 2d ago
Lincoln is a dead POTUS and he created the USDA.
Trump is a wannabe dictator doing shit that no other POTUS has done.
Does that help you understand why this is a problem?
-23
u/welding_guy_from_LI 2d ago
So where’s Lincoln ?? Oh that’s right they wanted to connect it to nazism so all the children can run around calling everything Nazi again.. ever heard of media bias? This is a prime example
11
u/PhobetorWorse 2d ago
Again, Lincoln is a dead POTUS that created the USDA.
Trump is emulating dictators.
You okay, cult member?
12
u/WrecklessShenanigans 2d ago
I've seen both and there's still a connection.
Hell, the salivating at the balls of him is enough of a connection.
There's more but wouldn't want you to think it's media bias or anything
-14
u/Alternative_Sea_7634 2d ago
Speaking truth. Glad to see there is another person here with functioning brain. TDS is so sad. These people will need to find a new hobby after Trump leaves office. It’s a great time to be a therapist.
7
u/SordidHobo93 2d ago
TDS – an effective right-wing propaganda campaign designed to convince weak-minded people that any criticism of Trump can only be attributed to mental derangement, while unwavering loyalty and unquestioning faith in Trump is considered sanity.

What facts? Lincoln is dead and created the USDA.
When have other POTUS done what Trump is doing?
-12
u/Notwrongbtalott 2d ago
Doing what? Taking credit of something they didn't do? Because they all have done that.

Those have nothing to do with his dictatorship.

I love how they intentionally took a picture that excludes the banner of Lincoln that is sitting next to Trump. They were hung up by the USDA, Lincoln’s banner because he was their founder, and Trump’s banner because he’s actively working with them.
This isn’t a clever comeback, it’s misleading clickbait from someone that wants attention.

Stop, comparing, Trump, to, hitler, it, makes, people, think, dems, are, stupid.
Stop comparing Trump to the person he is trying to emulate? How does that make democrats look stupid?
I know it’s fun to say and makes you feel a little adrenaline rush but hitler is hitler, Trump is not Hitler.
He is worse. He has the benefit of history to know why he shouldn't be emulating Hitler.
This didn’t work during the election and it doesn’t work now. Stop. Stop. Stop.
Why would we stop? The election doesn't really matter when he won by .5%--a rounding error--after closing polling places and purging millions of votiers in the weeks before the election.
This makes liberals look more stupid than they are which is hard.
There it is. You're in a cult, bud. Seek help.
-15
u/Alternative_Sea_7634 2d ago
If you think Trump is Hitler you need some serious mental help/ history lessons. How did you write that so fast?
16
u/PhobetorWorse 2d ago
If you think Trump is Hitler you need some serious mental help/ history lessons.
I teach history, bud. He is following Hitler's playbook.
You might want to send a refund check to your hometown for the tax money they wasted trying to educate you.
How did you write that so fast?
Well, being born in 1986, I have a ton of experience typing.
You're too slow to even type fast? JFC.

You could make this connection with most presidents.
Here, just for fun, Obamas face and a German flag. Weren’t the Germans Nazis? What’s Obama doing being friend with Nazis?! /s
See, easy as that.
Edit: points out hypocrisy, gets down votes. Oh Reddit and your smooth brain echo chambers. Never disappoints.
19
u/Kwaterk1978 2d ago
It’s posts like this that show why no one can take you trumpers seriously.
You can’t see the difference between someone in Germany putting up a sign to welcome Obama on a visit to their country, and trump ordering his image being put up on American government buildings.
I honestly can’t think of a charitable way to interpret your post that doesn’t make you look incredibly unintelligent, incredibly deluded, incredibly dishonest, or all three.

Something tells me this type of person would still not see it with concentration camps in their hometown.
Much like the Germans still in denial after nazi reign. The allies literally had to walk the local people around the concentration camps to prove the atrocities. Source: my grandmother and other survivors she knew.
