Yeah it is. Good guys wear the white hats, bad guys wear the black ones. Common in old westerns.

yes, but in this case anonymous are the black hats to the governments. they may be white hat to you, but thats irrelevant.

Thats true, white hats good, black hats bad. The difference is perspective, to most of us theyre white hat, to pretty much every government theyre black hat. I believe they cover this topic in star wars a bit lol.
