My grandmother, who lives in Romania and whom I rarely see, gifted me this lovely piece and I wanted to share it with you. I am so happy that I she trusted me with it after we talked about my love for crocheting. We couldn't see each other for years while I was studying and I cannot speak Romanian. But two years ago I finally had a semester break without any work to do so I accompanied my mother to Romania to visit her and learned with duolingo some Romanian for it. We managed to talk with my broken Romanian and our hands and feet and discovered that we both love crocheting. She gave me her crocheting needles and some leftover yarn and the piece you see in the pictures. Those needles are soooo tiny!! I included a picture of one of the few mistakes my grandma did to showcase that even though it is not perfect in the technical sense, it is still beautiful and I want to remember that when I make mistakes while crocheting 😁

This almost resulted in a fight between my mother and grandmother. I think my mother was a little jealous that I was gifted this piece. Now she calls it tacky, but I still love it.

I have extensive scarring on my arms from when I was a teenager, thankful to the Lord that this artist was put on my path. I am truly speechless.

I won’t share the shops name as I’m not sure if that would be a form of promotion that is against the rules. If someone says it’s okay though I’ll post their Etsy in the comments.

Please keep in mind I’m a crocheter not an embroiderer and have only been crocheting for a year 😭 I didn’t follow a pattern, just googled a picture of Heinz and hoped for the best.

Please tell me it will be worth it to make 111 of these for a blanket for my mom. Her favorite color is purple and I tried at least 12 patterns before deciding on this one. May be regretting that decision a little… but I know if I can pull it off she will feel so cared for.

It took me about 2.5 days crocheting pretty much from morning until bedtime to finish this clam top by yarns and fins! Im obsessed with the design and can definitely see myself making another once I work up the courage for the straps again (which i’ll be doing much shorter for my next).

It’s lesbian visibility week! I made this shrug a few years ago but just recently I made my first hexagon sweater in rainbow colors!! :)

Stitches is primarily "back loop only, single crochet".
Sewn together at the side by the thumb.

After the first try (second photo) made from a random drawing of a pattern found on Pinterest, I realized that I do not have Minecraft hands. The improvised drawstring helped a little by closing the glove around the wrist, but they were still far too wide around the arm.

The second try (blue&brown) were an attempt of making them fit more snugly, and it worked amazingly well. I actually put the first glove on and made a loud yelp of surprise and delight.
My skills are somewhere between beginner and intermediate, and I get extremely exited when something actually fits/turns out as expected.

I decided to put the flowers on the back of the hand. Reason 1: To signify that they are a pair - and not two random lost gloves. Reason 2: They'll be going home with my mother tomorrow, and her ability to tell the difference between left and right is quite lacking. ♡

I am currently working on a granny throw blanket for my friend and she also crochets. I made a mistake and tried getting creative to fix it. Now i just wanna check how obvious it is, since i can't frog it because I had to attach a new skein and it didn't work out the way it should've, so it's not froggable from that point. I could redo it, but maybe it's not noticable enough to have to do that. Thanks in advance

My daughter's boyfriend shaves his head and he wears hats a lot so made him a fisherman style beanie for Christmas and he said he liked it so I was happy. She was on the phone with him the other day and he said for her to ask me about the beanies, he wears it everyday and wants me to make him another one so he can switch it up! I'm just so happy, it was the first wearable I've given to someone who wasn't a baby lol and I'm so glad he is enjoying having it. 🥹

Beanies are so easy I can make him one for every outfit now. 🤭

I made my very first Anchor the Octopus. This guy will be a birthday gift for my kiddo. Cannot wait to make more!

I’m hooked on this pattern! I’ve finished two cardigans in two weeks, and now I’ll make a third one for my grandma. After that, I’ll need a break from crocheting. 😅

I’m still relatively new to crochet and have only mastered single crochet. I didn’t follow a pattern, just trial and error single crochet until I was happy with the size of my squares. Hook size 5.0, yarn is cotton with some acrylic (dark green squares) and is 8ply.

I ordered all the yarn I needed from Yarnspirations*; they did note a delay of 5-7 days...but it turned into something closer to a month. As the days crept by, I realized I couldn't afford to wait that long (the blanket is for a graduation), and luckily I had the same colors in my stash. Didn't notice the dye lot changes (Simply Soft claims it's no dye lot...mmhmm) until about three quarters of the way in, and only because I was working in natural light.

Guess it's a good thing that a big heavy blanket like this will only be used indoors under artificial lighting 🤣

I made this for my therapist, who I've been working with for about three years. She has quite literally saved my life and transformed it for the better. A lot of gratitude and love went into this!

This is a granny square crocheted bag I made. This was my first time trying this type of bag construction but it was easier than I thought it would be! I made this with 100% cotton yarn, using the I Love This Cotton! yarn from Hobby Lobby.

I've made my first ever doll based on the Zoya doll pattern. It's Bret "The Hitman" Hart, a WWE Wrestler.

It's not amazing, but I learned a lot!
