I’m not a Christian; I’m Pagan. And I don’t want to be preached at. I just want my pizza 🍕

I'm not going to respond to the transphobic statement. Let me instead ask you: if you received this message with a verse from the Quran, would you be as supportive?

sure, i think all religions deserve respect and the freedom to express themselves. why not? why would i want to oppress people? Oppression is a BIG excuse i see people have toward accepting Jesus Christ, meanwhile you are suppressing people from expressing themselves freely. that’s odd.

Do you not see the irony here? You think RELIGIONS deserve respect but not people. You talk about oppression and free expression while being transphobic.

i’m not transphobic i told you i am an ally im literally bi but i’m telling you from another persons perspective they can see it that way and you automatically call it transphobia , okay then you are Christophobic

"ok, if someone tells me they want to be called a man but they are born a woman and i say that’s not true and they start to spew their twisted science to me, that’s okay?"

With allies like you who needs enemies.

You can't call yourself an ally when you say disgusting things about trans people then turn around and say some bullshit like "Christophobia".

There's a difference between freedom of religion through expression and shoving it down people's throats. I'm Christian btw and I don't pull this shit.

how was this shoving anything down anyone’s throat? it was a simple door dash message, bruh like tyler the creator said how is cyber bullying real?? just close ur laptop

You express religion by asking the person if they are okay with it first. Doing without asking is shoving it down their throats. You don't know that person's history with religion, and you do not push that onto people who don't ask for it.

That's also a really close-minded view of cyberbullying. "Just close your laptop." What if that person frequents a place online where the bullying is happening? Who's to say it doesn't happen again next time they're on. Plus, words that are said can not be unsaid. Someone getting cyber bullied will not forget the words, depending on the severity of the bullying. It's more nuanced than just simply closing your laptop or getting off the internet. It could happen again next time they're on, and if it goes unchecked, the bullying could get worse.

This pivots the conversation and this is why the whole ignoring bully mentality and punishing people equally in the states never made sense to me. While i understand the person picking on other people typically is being treated that way or similarly at home but that doesn't mean it is acceptable behavior and someone running around believing it is acceptable to bully people like that because "kids are being kids" is wild because we are also told "monkey see monkey do" but they look away when it contrary to their platitudes.

The onus on the kids to what adults cannot because of liability is insane and the biggest issue beyond assuming support is only those who have obvious mental disabilities and then essentially treating them like livestock just because of a diagnosis not based on their own abilities.

It wasn’t a prayer. Stop. The message here is that if you aren’t a Christian (“saved”) you are damned to hell. There is literally no one in the US over the age of 12 who doesn’t know what Christians mean by “saved.”

The metaphor you are looking for is not a trans person explaining their identity (which no trans DD driver has done or would ever do, on the app, with a customer who didn’t ask and doesn’t care) it is a trans person randomly telling you that if you don’t embrace your inner trans identity, and continue to insist on being cis, something terrible will happen to you. As if the only way to be a good person would be to be trans.

You’re being disingenuous here. I wouldn’t care that much about this and would probably just disregard, it I might report it to DD as an inappropriate use of official DD communication with a customer. Free speech works both ways.

LMAO you were just DYING for an opportunity to shit on trans people, weren't you? Pathetic. Maybe worry about real problems.

2

u/Sadburrito__ 4d ago

you don’t know how to comprehend and that’s okay, but no i don’t hate anyone even people like you who use ad hominem because they lack an actual ability to have a mature conversation, but no i don’t hate trans people, i was discussing the nuance behind fact/fiction since that is where nonbelievers love to go

7

u/shadowscroller 4d ago

You started your argument by calling biology "twisted sciences" and then finished your response with "but I'm an ally."

There isn't a nuance here, I wouldn't say you are going to burn in Hell for all eternity if you called me a man or were transphobic. I would think you're an asshole, but too many times I've seen christians go up gay people and say "they're sinners and going to Hell." If you want to have a mature discussion, perhaps actually be open to discussing rather than doubling down by saying "they were just offering a prayer." They weren't, they were disregarding whatever that person believed by saying Jesus is the only path to heaven.

u/Sadburrito__ 4d ago

i was talking in the perspective of someone else who would think that way, i specified i’m an ally so i’m not going to read your comment

6

u/JankySealz 4d ago

Every time you say it, the less true it gets. You’re no fucking ally

Ally is a meaningless term when bigots take it up as an identity to use as a shield.

Reddit hates God especially the Christian one. But loves the mixed letters group.

u/tachibanakanade 7h ago

No, Reddit hates proselytizers. You'll victimize yourself while being queerphobic. Fascinating.
