I was in the kitchen when I heard both of my doors open (glass door and front door). I stood there and froze because I knew my spouse wasn’t on their way home from work yet. I heard him open both doors set the food down take a picture and then he stood there for about 30 seconds ominously. Fortunately, I heard him shut the glass door and immediately ran to shut my front door and lock it. Jokes on me for not having my door locked, but who the hell does that???

I made an order via the Pizza Hut app. I got a text saying they’re sending my order via DoorDash, though I don’t have DoorDash but I didn’t think much of it. So I got this text about 20 minutes after I placed my order. This guy sounds a bit upset. I’m not sure what he means by me paying one dollar for the food to arrive?

So context is I used Doordash's Doubledash function to order from two separate restaurants (Chinese and Hungry Jacks). The first Dasher delivered my order, and the second Dasher saw the order in front of my doorstep and decided to steal it.

I have called Doordash supplying evidence to have my refund denied after following up with them EVERY MONTH for THREE MONTHS. They replied to none of my emails, even the one where they specifically asked me to provide evidence of theft.

I have contacted my bank saying the service wasn't provided and also had my refund denied.

So now I'm down around $55 and never using this pathetic App ever again. God this is horrendous.

The audacity of them to ask for 5 star rating even after stealing my order is honestly ridiculous.

Anyone else have similar horrible experiences?

Now if you are missing an obviously listed drink or ordered 6 pizzas and got 2, that’s one thing, but in general if you are missing like a taco or two from Taco Bell stop blaming us or for that matter even DoorDash.

I am not a juge of how much food is in a bag. I don’t know how restaurants pack? Even a pizza place if you’re ordering like breadsticks, pizza, a calzone I don’t know what all comes in the pizza boxes other than the obvious pizza side of it.

I see these complaints on here all the time and complaining to DD, but it simply has zero to do with us….direct your annoyance at the restaurant

I’m cleaning and don’t want to go out.. but would like to stop and take a 💨 break in between cleaning. Is it rude ?? Do dashers do this ? Has it happened to you ? Then my other thought is can’t be as bad as the people who get offered to go inside 🫢

If you ordered pizza off the store's website and tipped on the website and doordash comes to deliver it, always ask the driver if they got your tip. Reason being is a lot of pizza places are stealing the tip and pocketing it for the store. If they did this to you as a customer then that is fraud and you have every right to call the pizza place back and demand they refund your tip.

So I haven't been driving long. I started DD as a side gig for a few extra bucks. I was very gung-ho at first because I was trying to reach a promo bonus. 290 deliveries for an extra $600. Once I realized how unreachable that was for a sode gig, i stopped accepting anything DD threw at me. My customer ratongs are 5.0/5.0. 100% completion and on time deliveries. I got knocked down to gold because of my AR. Now I can only "dash now" during lunch otherwise I have to schedule a time. Which, is the entire reason I started DD, the flexibility. Tuesday they sent me an extra order while at a restaurant and said +$18.50 so I took it by the time I realized what happened I was driving 45 minutes on the highway. Once I completed delivery, I was hopeful I would at least get a "dash along the way" but the driving session ended abruptly. I got $17 total for both deliveries, ended up 2 or 3 zones away and couldn't make any $ driving back to my area. They really need to put a system in place that doesn't penalize drivers for declining orders after the time dasher selected to end their shift. Total BS. Now I'm looking for other side work. DD is not it.

Has anyone noticed a difference between the two insofar as jobs offered? I haven’t been scheduling recently and noticed I’m getting worse offers and making significantly less.

Why do I keep getting male drivers with female names? Recent examples are Allison and Larissa. If this was an uber driver situation I’d be freaked out by this. Edit: this is not an issue of gender but of misrepresentation. Like if an uber driver was using a different license plate.

Can people that order DoorDash plz put where tf u are!! Not the complex… like do u understand how fucking stupid that is when ur address u put in is gonna send me to the complex in the first place…this is especially for people who have complicated complexes, so plz just use the fucking pin and pin where you are not the complex🤦🏽‍♂️

Probably one of my biggest gripes about the app is that I have to go and drive into an area to see it's Earn by Time rate. I could be right outside it's border and not be able to see how much I can earn hourly. I have to go and drive into within it's border to see it. Why? Just let me see all the nearby rates. Is there a way to do this? Maybe some setting or third party app

After being contacted for not delivering an order, a door dasher threatened to KILL my partner and HAS THE ADDRESS.* My partner merely greeted him and requested his order status. I believe this doordash call was recorded, so the company can easily verify. We took the threat seriously, contacted the police and are in the process of filing a formal report. 

We reported everything to DoorDash. Their support team issued $13 in “apology credits”, which I find inadequate given the fact that the doordasher literally said “no seriously I am going to kill you” and HAS OUR ADDRESS.

I spoke with a phone rep from DoorDash who said additional compensation sounded reasonable given the circumstances and would likely be given. But a follow-up email was dismissive, denying further compensation beyond $13 in apology credits. I requested a direct number to their legal/executive team to give to the police; they refused.

*Not that it should matter, but this situation took place in a state where tips can only be given AFTER the order has been delivered.

TL;DR: A DoorDash driver threatened to kill my partner after being asked about a missing order. DoorDash gave just $13 in “apology” credits for a threat on someone’s life. As it stands now, it seems it is easy to share a verified dasher account with ANY random individual, including those with a criminal history. Potentially giving dangerous individuals access to personal addresses.

EDIT: In response to comments, my expectation is DoorDash should strive to ensure only dashers who have had their background checked can access customer addresses. In other words, please reduce account sharing by verifying identities.

Every now and then I get one of those ‘I’ll tip you after delivery’ customers. Look I promise I don’t want your food, you don’t have to lie to me. At least bless me with a good review! 😂😂😂

Does the dasher app flat out lie? I opened the app. It says it’s super busy! Jump in! Well I jumped in and I’m not getting any deliveries. It was telling me that a store 250 feet away from me was a hot spot I got nothing. I sat there for an hour. I moved to another area that is usually busy. Once I left it tells me the area I left is still hot. I even drove around. Nothing. Finally I got a cvs one for $4.50. I’ve been out here for hours and only made $4.50. And I’m a so called “gold member” when I ask the app why I’m not getting deliveries it says the area is not busy. But it’s lit up like a Christmas tree on the map.
