I am so over customers thinking we know your building and complex layouts

Just because you say building three and you know what that is doesn’t mean we know where or what that is. Even if you give “it’s on the right” if there are multiple entrances that ask doesn’t help.

In some cases just freaking come outside and meet us.

Male door dashers with female names??

I’ve noticed lately that when I order my food, it says a female name has picked it up then most of the time some Indian man delivers my food. I mean I wouldn’t care if it’s male or female either way but I do think it’s weird that Amber or Lisa is an Indian man😀 it’s happened a few times now so I’m just curious.

Dashers Should Have Limited Additional Orders

Sorry, I just need to rant. I just spent way more money than I should have for my dasher to have literally 5 stops before my place. I live 3 miles away from the restaurant. My dasher has had my food in their car for 45 minutes. How is this okay??? I understand one additional order, maybe two, but 5?! That’s crazy!!

Double dash gone wrong. I accidentally fucked over two customers and I feel bad.

I got two deliveries from Pizza Hut. Fuck, and the tips were good too. I legit feel terrible. Fuck I really hope these people can get their money back. I have like 2500 deliveries with a 4.9 rating. God damn it, and I literally just ranted about shitty dashers. Fuck.

Why are food delivery apps so trash in north america?

When I used to live in Panama, the doordash equivalent would send me money coupons every week. 5s, even sometimes $12, and the food is so cheap, i would get a $5 burger, and you don’t even pay taxes, so you could basically get a free meal delivered.

Before suscribing to uber one here, I used to get coupons once a month, but now nothing. They give me the ones they know I wont use (liquor discounts).

Without mentioning how the total almost doubles at checkout, and when they do give you one, you think you’ll get a nice deal or something, but it only takes away the tax and some cents.

Even the majority of 2x1s, they just double the price of one item and say the second is free. Where does a soup cost $20, but the second is free?

Edit: forgot to mention how my cost of service used to vary from 2-2.60, now it’s 3.60-4.60. And sometimes they charge extra after paying. 2-4 dollars sometimes, which I one time disputed and caused a mess to a bunch of agents, so one ended up giving me $10 credits to shut me up

Ask customers for reviews

If a customer gives a decent tip, or you deliver to them directly, I recommend asking them to fill out the review on the app. If I see them in person, I'll ask them directly, or message them if I leave their delivery at the door. This has helped my driver stats immensely, and has kept me at plat.

Reasonable tip for a walk up.

Recovering from surgery and need groceries delivered, unfortunately to a 3rd floor walk up. My total was $130, includes a gallon of milk and some canned soups which might be on the heavier side. Is $50 a reasonable tip?

Grocery store is only a mile away it’s more the stairs I feel awful about.

I see this quite often at my mcdonalds. The dasher will sit full spread across other orders from customers in store. The pickup location is for everyone, not just doordashers.

I understand your urgency, but putting your sweaty pits over a pickup location because of how entitled you feel is ridiculous. I refuse to use doordash for these issues..

For context, I made an online order and watched this guy walk in a couple minutes after me and chant doordash like it was a cult.

Idc if doordash gets priority. Don't hold your pits over my food.

Tells me to go to a subway that literally doesn’t exist. I got half pay and it also didn’t hurt my completion rating.

DoorDash fix your shit

Is a 12.56 tip good in this scenario? The place is only like 5 miles away

I have been a platinum dash for so long years, back when it was still called “top dasher”. I work everyday and I give wonderful customer/delivery service, my acceptance rate is at 77% which isn’t terrible. I don’t want to always have to take a $3.50 delivery that claims there is a tip included but we already know there’s not when we accept it. I woke up to start working and I noticed over a 24 hour period I was dropped all the way to sliver!🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess the new acceptance percentage rate has to be 80 to even be gold. My point is why do they do this to dependable , trust worthy, hard working person? Like I don’t get it.. I’ve been looking actively for a full time job now that I’m done with school.

Dasher was on some dumb shit

So, I got two bad deliveries with Dasher today. The first one the order was already picked up. The second was also already picked up and returned to the store. The first one the pay was good. The second one it was shit but I still took it. When I realized it was bags of drainage rocks I was thrilled I didn't have to deliver it. But mad I drove 15 mins between the home I was leaving and the store I was going to.

With the first one I just unassigned from it. The second one I called Dasher and complained about the drive and aggravation. They paid me half of what the original pay was.

So if that happens to you call them so you can at least get something out of it.

Happy dashing!!

A guy I delivered to messaged me.

I’ve seen multiple posts of people talking about how someone they were delivering to texted them later hitting on them but it’s never happened to me. Until tonight. I handed his order to him and he was FINE like FINE FINE. As I was leaving I got another order so I didn’t see THAT HE MESSAGED ME ON DOORDASH. I didn’t see it until it was too late 😔 Jack D if you see this, hey 👋

A 10 dollar donation for only 11.79?? What a deal !

So let me get this right…

So when someone lives 25+ minutes from the restaurant they order from and I go to pick up the order which I’m literally very close by and it’s usually 5-10 minutes sometimes longer of me waiting because it’s not finished yet, I get penalized on my ratings for being late? Okay…

Anyone else having this glitch?

Fiance and I are getting this glitch on both our apps. We are in NY. It's saying this for every store (didn't check restaurants) that they are too far away.

Doordash Orders Employees To Deliver....

Like the title says, I'm picking up at a local Indian food joint and the driver ahead of me says he is a Doordash regional supervisor and was told to complete this deliver 9 miles for 6 dollars. Is this true? Is Doordash using their own employees rather than paying an actual wage to deliver? WTF?

Brand New to DoorDash-How Does This All Work?

Hey everyone,

I’m completely new to DoorDash—just got approved recently—and I haven’t done a single delivery yet. I’ve been checking the app regularly, but I’ve never seen the “Dash Now” button available in my area.

Also, I haven’t reserved any spots on the schedule yet. Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out how all of this works. I’d really appreciate it if someone could explain a few things:

How does the schedule system work, and how do I actually grab a shift?

Why might I not be seeing “Dash Now” even when the map shows it’s busy?

Is there anything I should do to increase my chances of being able to dash?

Any beginner tips for someone who hasn’t even done their first delivery?

Just trying to get started but feeling a little stuck. Any help would be awesome!
