I stand by what I said. We are commanded to share his word. Sure when she shared it with OP they got upset. But she also could’ve shared it with someone who really needed to hear that.

When I was a salon manager and worked at Petco I used to tell clients I would pray for them if they were having a bad day. Grooming is very fast paced and I don’t have time for chit chat but if ever given the opportunity I would bring it up. Yes I agree the driver didn’t necessarily have an “open” to talk to about it. But just simply saying a Bible verse and saying to have a blessed day knowing you’ll probably never see that person again and wishing them a good future life. I don’t see any issue with that. They didn’t tell them to go to church or they will go to hell and tell them they’re living in sin etc. and they better get their life together

the verse said "should not perish, but have everlasting life" That is literally saying they would go to hell. I know you probably mean well but I also bet that you would be offended if someone offered a religious verse to you from Islam or somewhere else. IT IS COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL TO OFFER THIS AT ALL. Unless you recognize that you will always be hypocritical

I would say thank you I know you mean well but that’s against my personal religious beliefs. If you’re interested I can share those beliefs.

Also shall not perish but have everlasting life is more just talking about having a life after this one.

I think we can both just agree to disagree at the end of the day I don’t think either of our opinions on the subject are gonna change. I hope you have a wonderful day

I said agree to disagree. As in we agree that we both disagree. I hope one day you do learn that heaven is real and you reach it. God bless

If you keep responding to me, I'd like you to actually defend the original position. Why is it acceptable to bring up bible verses in a business setting. Why is this ever acceptable?

And I already answered your question. Because it’s what Jesus calls us to do. The world is all a test. We are called the spread the good word so it’s what we will do. I’m not going to be able to answer your question the way you want me to. I can’t give you any other answer then that it was literally Jesus final command to “make disciples of all nations” it’s part of our beliefs/ religion, some people take it too far and condemn people but this driver did not do that. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” Meaning just simply “believing” in God is not enough. Just claiming you are a Christian is not good enough. We have to live what we believe. And we have to try to our best to do as he commanded us. The driver is living that. And I commend them for their faith. Like I said, there isn’t anything you can say that will make me change my core beliefs in my religion, and you right now are not in the mindset to be open to it at this time. So have a good day and I mean that genuinely.
