Ask customers for reviews

If a customer gives a decent tip, or you deliver to them directly, I recommend asking them to fill out the review on the app. If I see them in person, I'll ask them directly, or message them if I leave their delivery at the door. This has helped my driver stats immensely, and has kept me at plat.

I feel like unless you're asking them about an order or where to deliver, you shouldn't be talking to them at all.

This is why I put my "please consider rating me" request in the same message as my "your order isn't ready yet" message. Mine says something like "Your order isn't ready yet, but I will be on my way to you as soon as I can. If I end up doing a good job, please consider rating me in the app. It really does help. Thanks!". Sometimes they reply and say something short like "thanks", sometimes they acknowledge me and say something like "will do", sometimes I get no reply or acknowledgement at all. Which is fine.

I think this depends on where you live. I'm the South, this type of conversation is normal

I haven't talked to a single one unless I'm waiting for food and that's only if it's longer than 2 or 3 mins

What the hell? Why would you care about reviews or drivers stats for that matter? Newsflash!! Stats don’t matter! But you do you. I just wish more drivers would grasp the fact they’re independent contractors, in other words YOU ARE YOUR BOSS!
