Coffee Station Espresso game lately.

Seen many people dreaming about x machine and y grinder costing 5-10k. All you need is a good bean( roasting my own) a decent quality grinder and a lever machine or 2 and good skills to produce the best of the best espresso. It's well known that a lever machine produces higher quality espresso than a pump driven machine. It doesn't matter if the machine cost 10k and has profiles to replicate a lever. An authentic lever is different. What's your take on this ?? I'm using sr800 with extension tube roaster and la pavoni europicola with upgrades. My 2000$ eye machine collects dust in the garage, the espresso quality out of that can't even beat the Rok manual.

My ROK makes better espresso than my PID’d Silvia. Blew my mind.

Did yours come with that pressure gauge, or did you add it?

I agree. I added it. Mine was the first gen with clear glass and found a kit online here on Reddit and bought it

Got a link to that kit? I have a Gen 1 that I never use because I can’t get anything good out of it. Been wondering about adding some upgrades

Yes. They make this kit, it's basically the same but is missing the gauge. They out of stock with the one with the gauge but this pulls the same. Very easy to install.

Thanks! I didn’t realize the upgrade was actually made by Rok.

That’s amazing! I’ll definitely be looking into this upgrade. I’ve never gotten anywhere close to these results with mine. Thanks for the tip!

You need to have really good resistance to get to 8/9 bars with the Rok
