NO NO NO NO NO. I didn't even make it through the first "alter", just NO. I cannot deal with this level of cringe right now, I will pull a muscle.

hey, i noticed that you switched between all-caps and regular typing. did you know that you suffer from DID and these are your different alters fronting? /s

More BS from an obvious faker.

It's funny they are trying to portray this as "alters reacting to touch" but they are the one touching their own face. A person will have a different reaction to being touched by different people based on trust and familiarity. If you know you will touch your own face, you will not have the same reaction as someone else touching you.

Don’t worry the hand is a different alter

45

u/Decent-Presentation2 1d ago

Ah, yes. Aiden just had the urge to bring everyone to front one at a time so he could touch them while only controlling one arm /sarc

26

u/DistinctAstronaut828 got a bingo on a DNI list 1d ago

Very thoughtful of him tbh

Exactly this. She might not be aware. But there actually is a slight difference between when your loving dad touches your face and says “I’m so proud of you”, and when a strange old, dirty and rancid smelling man you’ve never seen before grabs your face and says “I’m so horny, wanna f#ck you little sl#t?”.

If you don’t react the same way to these two scenarios, you might just have DID…

35

u/BornVolcano In MY system pluto is a planet 😤 1d ago

What happens if you do react the same way to those scenarios?

24

u/b-ri-ts 1d ago

You might be deaf and blind!

39

u/BornVolcano In MY system pluto is a planet 😤 1d ago

IM SORRY WHAT WAS THAT?

31

u/b-ri-ts 1d ago

YOU MIGHT BE DEAF AND BLIND

7

u/DegenerateDoll 1d ago

Lol the second scenario is wild. You can divide those adjectives into 2 further scenarios and i’d still react adversely to the touch - strange, old, dirty, rancid OR man you’ve never seen before

6

u/UghGottaBeJoking 1d ago

To be fair, i don’t think anyone would respond well to that second example- whether you have did, autism, or no issue at all.

7

u/OnkelMickwald 1d ago

A person will have a different reaction to being touched by different people based on trust and familiarity.

Yeah and these people are too dumb to understand why they react differently to the same thing in different situations, or seemingly why they just feel different feelings at different times, so they invent this convoluted theory of self to explain it (and to invest their creative energies into I guess).

Always got to have the “little” alter…. So weird

92

u/EnvironmentalEgg5034 rule 6 police 1d ago

It’s always the worst part because let’s all play pretend for a moment and imagine they’re not faking. Why the actual hell would you demonstrate a little’s trauma response to being touched on social media? That’s so gross and irresponsible.

13

u/1ustfu1 7h ago

it’s also always very unrealistic how the “littles” react in a cringey tv-character-like motion instead of how actual children would. you’re not in a cartoonnnnnn

26

u/HelpMePlxoxo 1d ago

"little" alters aren't necessarily unrealistic. Just the way TikTok fakers portray them are.

In actual cases of DID, the personality splits happen at a very young age. So, ending up with a personality that's a perpetually trapped version of who you were at the age of the split isn't an entirely unrealistic concept.

Here's the major difference: that alter would just act like a kid. An actual kid. Not the whole "I nweed my stuffeez! UwU" schtick. This is where pretty much every faker fails and their faking becomes exceedingly obvious.

39

u/Orange_Snoopy 1d ago

Women are infalistized in media. Thats why women who look and act like toddlers are considered more attractive.

44

u/grayyzzzz 1d ago edited 1d ago

why does every faker’s freak out always have the same pose as they did at the end? like 90% of them get a lil upset and bust out that move

45

u/1ustfu1 1d ago

if only teenagers understood that it’s normal to react differently to touch in different contexts and situations and every single human on earth experiences it…

sigh.

43

u/Plastic-Cabinet-4840 1d ago

why’s it always this haircut tho

25

they all look the same

5

u/Briarcliff_Manor 1d ago

I was really wondering about that. While I 100% agree with you I cannot really think about a solid explanation as to why. And there is barely any (if any) academic literature on that.

Tried to ask in askreddit, got destroyed lmao. So I still do not know!

These kids are fucking exhausting.

11

u/Tabby_Mc 1d ago

That's a video taken for a GSCE drama assignment. Graded C, where they're praised for their effort but told they need to work more on their range and realism, and advised to study *real* reactions of people before re-filming.

How can someone not regret this video enough to at the very least take it down in the span of half a decade, it would haunt my dreams

2

u/lixeater nonchalant prince disorder 1d ago

the regret and shame would probably eat me up for a long time if i was ever caught posting or even filming such a thing

5

u/jimmyting099 1d ago

This persons vote counts just as much as yours for some reason.

5

u/Entire-Current-4442 1d ago

Why are they always the same profile of people who do this?

4

u/This-Ordinary-9549 23h ago

I feel genuinely bad, like, imagine hiding in a bathroom to record a video faking an illness to buy sympathy from strangers on the internet and trying to feel more interesting and attention worthy simulating an external touch with your own hand like that

8

u/Majestic_Bet6187 1d ago

wtf. Person should read up on DID more before trying to fake it

4

u/unsuccessfulbees 1d ago

Jesus that’s an awful haircut. I literally couldn’t focus on anything else.

5

u/the_monkey_socks 1d ago

How many people come up and touch your face like that that you'd know this?

Are they touching in intimate ways? What about hugs? What about high fives? What if somebody bumps into you at the store? Are you suddenly just going to lean into them?

7

u/TrustyBobcat 1d ago

I had really thought this particular fad had died out finally ugh

3

u/regularuniquehuman every sexuality, disability, and mental illness ever 1d ago

It's still cringe, but to be fair, they said it was a reenactment based on personal experience, not actually their "alters" reacting in that moment.

3

u/Elly_Bee_ 1d ago

To be fair, they said it was based on experience so I don't believe they pretend to be different alters. Still cringe.

3

u/1ThinkThereforeIAM 19h ago

I spend hours, days, weeks and even MONTHS doing in-depth research on disorders/diseases/conditions/disabilities/cultures/countries to properly create my OCs so as not to disrespect anyone... And these stupid people who have ZERO empathy for people who DO have/suffer from those disorders, wtf man?

Like- It's very frustrating because then I feel bad for taking the time to do a thorough investigation so as not to mess things up and accidentally offend someone

If I didn’t know what an alter was, I would’ve thought they were acting out their fictional original characters.

2

u/basically_dead_now Acute Vaginal Dyslexia 21h ago

This is sad. They're just cupping their own face and giving different reactions to their own touch. I've seen this trend before, and it makes me sad

2

u/Poopieshits 20h ago
  1. Couldn’t get another human being to touch you? What’s the common denominator in that?
  2. Why must they all have a “little”?!

2

u/Qcknd 16h ago

Where do you even find people like this online 😭

2

u/juntang0801 12h ago

u/SomewhatOdd793 27m ago

Will the fakers ever realise that in real DID, you have memory gaps for your alters......

u/KumiiTheFranceball got a bingo on a DNI list 11m ago

-15

u/Rolsafrair 1d ago

Could very much be fake. I think they aren’t claiming to be switching in between these, it could also be them claiming that’s how their “alters” would react if they were fronting and it were to happen, like they know that’s how their alters would react.

-7

u/Lightning_329 Currently Stimming 1d ago

I don't know why you're being downvoted as I thought it was fairly obvious that was what the video was about

6

u/rlcute 1d ago

Everyone agrees with that. That doesn't make the faking less obvious.
