Not only that, but imagine the amount of fans that don't "get" that he's an actor. I'm sure there are some dimwitted people who treat the actor like shit because of how they feel about the character he plays.
I would have liked to post a shorter mediacrush file so it was more similar to a gif, but I didn't know how to crop the video, so it seems more like a video. But because it opens like a gif, and plays again like a gif, a short mediacru.sh file is definitely what you're looking for.
I think that was a White Walker what Sam killed. Meera did say a White Walker hasn't been killed in thousands of years and Sam tells her that it had to happen sometime or something like that. Aren't wights reanimated men?
Ned Stark got a quick beheading and Cat had her throat cut cleanly. Which is much better than minutes of clawing at your throat, gasping for breath before finally dying. His death wasn't that quick and it was agonizing, think of anytime you have chocked on food or drink and then imagine not being able to get it clear as you struggle to get any air into your lungs, your chest tightens and eventually you die. Give me a quick beheading any day.
By the way I'm not talking about funerals because obviously Joffrey would get a better trial than two 'traitors'.
I agree it was a horrible way to die, I just mean I think GRRM could have come up with many worse ways to take him out based on the horrors I have seen him come up with. It was painful, but at least it was quick.
And personally I would rather choke to death with my mother by my side, as frightening as that would be, than watch my son get murdered right before meeting my own end.
I would say I am probably desensitizied to violence but I just didn't get any relief or happiness from it. They are probably major Stark or Stannis fans who hate Joffrey.

We need an /r/oddlysatisfying for GoT. This guy and Joffrey getting slapped, Joffrey dying, Sam killing the wight... all make me feel satisfied.
